Hi, I am a new seller on ebay and recently sold my first few items. I listed 3 webcams and I sold them as a pre orders, I messed up and put the handling time too short, so when the items arrived to me, the shipping was already over due by a day when I dropped them at the PO. They were all bought at the same time, and 1 of the payments have cleared (actually from a person who requested a refund and I declined as I had just shipped the item hours before), but the other two have not cleared. I am worried with all the overdue shipping, if there is an issue eBay might screw me over? Also, I sold a VR for $600 to a scammer, who I then cancelled the order with because I realized what he was. Will it be difficult to get a cash refund for the final value fee? I am mainly worried because I am 17 so there is no way for me to verify my account.

Shipping one day late is no problem. As long as it gets there quickly, you are okay. Being 17 is a problem. You should not be talking about that here. If an adult you know has a eBay account, you probably should be using that till you are 18.

NEVER list items as pre-orders. Why did you do that? Sell ONLY items that you have in your physical possession at the time of listing them - that is new ebay requirement. Ebay will not "screw you over" - you screwed yourself over. You will certainly be receiving bad defects on your account for any paid transactions you cancelled. You really need to educate yourself by going to the bottom of this page and clicking on the "Seller Center", "Policies". & "Site Map>Sell" links and educating yourself on how to sell items on the site or you're going to blow yourself up and ebay will suspend you from selling on their site. In fact I think you have to be 18 years old to sell here. You didn't have a clue what you were doing and that's why children are not allowed to sell on ebay.

Strange that I see no sold or completed listings for you under this ID.
If you are not yet 18, you are not supposed to be selling here at all. This is further complicated by the fact that you appear to not know what you are doing.

Still, that should really not be an issue if it gets there quickly. Priority mail should get it there in two day. What will be a problem is if the seller chose slow shipping.

I'm just going to be blunt. You need to end that $600. item until you have some experience in selling here. There is way too much you will need to learn before risking that much money. sorry.
I'm even ignoring the 17 year old part, but do you know how to pack and ship an item like that? Do you know what the money back guarantee rules are?

So you do not see it as a problem when a seller ships the day after the last estimated delivery date? Doesn't that mean that it cannot possibly arrive on time and will most likely be more than a day or two late?

The main reason that children are not allowed to list and sell on eBay is that children cannot legally enter into a binding contract.

It all depends on the buyer. I have ordered several things in the past month. Some arrived quickly, in two or three days, and others have taken a week to ten days to arrive. For me personally it is no big deal. Yes, it will not arrive on time, but two or three days late is really no reason for a buyer to go ballistic.
I think for a new seller, the OP needs to sell some a few things first before trying pull off such a complex sale. Personally I will only sell things in my possession. Why not wait till you actually have the item before listing?

You need to take that 600. Listing down immediately. At your age I am sure you cannot afford to lose that much mo ey and odds are very highly in favor of a scammer getting it. I have been selling here for 1 1/2 years and I had no idea of the lying , deceitful theft that goes on here on this platform. I personally will no longer sell her once mt store subscription is up if I can make it that long. You do not want to be here. It is beyond stressful. I personally started this because I have health issues that prevent me from working. (No, I am not on disability but would probably qualify if I went for it) I thought this would be an easy, fun, and relaxing way to make extra money to help my husband out financially. Believe me when I say IT IS NOT! I say this as a mother, dont walk away, RUN, get your item down before you lose it and get off of this platform. There are other ways for you to make money. You are too young to lose like you will lose here.
