Getting scammed

Does eBay have you send a tracking number to an email so you can receive the payment? Or is this a scam? It is showing that the buyer paid for the item. But it is not showing up as processing funds like it says it should when I ship the item. I just want to make sure the payment went thru and that I am not getting scammed

Getting scammed

It says there is 0$ in my processing payments. Should the 17k be in there by now?

I'll try to be as clear as I can...

When you go to "Orders" is there anything that shows "Awaiting Shipping" or does it show "Awaiting Payment"?

Ebay does NOT have you "send a tracking number via e-mail". You upload the tracking to the order (if you get your shipping label via Ebay, it is uploaded automatically)

You are not giving any of us much information, and it sounds like you are not answering the questions other members of this forum are asking

eBay has online guides that explain exactly how the selling and payment processes work.

When I read them, I see nothing about having to email a tracking number in order to receive payment.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling#selling-getting-paid

Everything you need regarding the eBay selling process is done through the Seller Hub on the eBay website/app/messaging system, not through email.

It sure sounds like you got scammed.

Did you already ship your watch somewhere?  What tracking number/to where are you asking about?

You still have your watch. At this point it appears that the best thing that you could do is to walk away from eBay and never look back.

What @jerseyboymusic just indicated -- if you have not yet been paid, or if eBay has not confirmed the payment, DO NOT SHIP THIS WATCH!!!

And, as I stated previously, you are better off canceling this order, rather than risking your "buyer" stealing this $17,000 Rolex watch from you.

If your "buyer" steals this watch from you -- which is very easy to do on eBay -- then eBay will not be able to help you to get any of your money back.

Internet thieves are regularly scouring sites like eBay, looking purposefully for "newbies" (like yourself) who do not have the experience to see how scammers operate -- and the scammers deliberately hunt for expensive watches, shoes, electronic items and jewelry.

Don't become another eBay statistic -- don't send the watch!

Is the buyer asking for the email, tracking or whatever? Most likely so they can then send you a fake payment email.

As others have said when it comes to items this expensive forget ebay, it's just too risky.

On this side of the pond we have some respected high street names advertising their services for buying and selling watches. I assume there must be similar in America. A much safer way to sell an expensive watch.

@kmmd2582

Did you get a request from the buyer to send it to an e-mail?  Sound like the buyer is trying (or has already succeeded) to get you to communicate off the eBay site.  It is a typical ploy of the "text me scammer".  There will be no money, just a fake message saying you were paid if that is the case.  As others have said, if there is no record of the payment DO NOT SHIP this, and report the buyer after 4 days for non-payment.  Do this anyway if you can, even though it appears you relisted the watch.

It seems that since you retain the "Buyer Rules" that require a buyer to provide a payment source to make an offer in the first place, the buyer should have been "auto-billed" and the item paid for immediately upon your acceptance (unless a counter offer was involved).

Never contact a buyer off eBay, and never change the address after a sale no matter what sorry tale someone may send to you.   If you insist an selling this here, just be advised that the scammers are going to be on you like 'white on rice'.  Just about ANYTHING can be had for free on eBay with the right kind of scam, and indeed at your expense.
