Getting payed

I wish there was just a number that allows you to speak with a rep. Nonetheless I sold a laptop I sent it and the buyer received it they buyer payed for it obviously! My issue is that it created a shipping label that I couldn’t use because it was for shipping via a airplane which can’t happen because laptops have batteries. So I went down to my local usps place and just sent it it myself. But the order or whatever is still tied to the shipping label and number and all of that eBay created. So there is no way for the buyer or myself to tell the app that it has been delivered for me to get payed.

Re: Getting payed

You need to copy and paste the tracking number of the label you purchased off site and cancel the label you bought on eBay.
eBay reps aren't going to do the for you.

To edit tracking click edit next to the tracking number of the laptop add your new tracking number.

Next cancel you need to go to Orders > Shipping labels next click Actions drop down menu click cancel. In the next page select reason to cancel, I usually select "other".

You will be payed [sic] paid after a few days or up to 30 days if you are a brand new seller.

@disan2908

They can hold the funds for 30 days and they might on that item.

Go to the order and and update the tracking number.

Have a great day.

@disan2908

Ebay doesn't create a shipping label on their own.  You had to go into the program to create the shipping label.  If you accidentally created this shipping label that you could not use, I hope you voided it so you don't have to pay for it.  Why didn't you select a different option for shipping?  Why didn't you select UPS?

You could have updated the Transaction in Ebay for the correct tracking number.

You are making some assumption that are getting you into trouble or causing you grief that wasn't necessary.  You are also assuming you can't contact Ebay instead of looking around for the options.

You are just learning how to sell on this site.  I hope in the future you will come here FIRST instead of assuming you can wing it and get it right.  You will cause yourself unnecessary problems doing that and you can harm your account health, which I'm sure you don't want.

********************************************************************

On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://twitter.com/askebay

https://www.facebook.com/ebay

https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.

If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

Re: Getting payed

You will receive 'pay' 30 days after an item sold as a 'infrequent seller.

No need to call anyone...That is useless.

Re: Getting payed

Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

There was a way, you just did not know about it.
You can cancel the label you purchased on eBay ...

... and manually add the tracking number you purchased at the counter.
