Item 255027472746 Buyer paid on 8/5 and I shipped on 8/6. I just reviwed the the Order details. How is this deemed a late since USPS tracking shows label created on 8/6 at 7:00AM and also picked up from my mailbox on 8/6 at 10:08 ?
Item 255076989289 Buyer paid on 8/6 and I shipped on 8/7. Order details and USPS tracking shows label created 8/7 at 7:38AM and picked at my residense at 12:39pm on 8/7. It was NOT late leaving from MY house.
Item number 255111302994 & Item number 255111323042, HOLIDAY WEEKEND (Monday) both items the buyer paid on 9/3 (Friday). I ship within 2 working days. Labels were created on 9/5 and USPS was in possession of both items on 9/7 at 1:51.
The first two items in August are definetly NOT late. The last two may be questionable however my local Post Office does not have counter service on Saturdays and these items were over a pound and too large so they could not be placed in my mailed box for carrier pickup.
How do i go about getting my recortd clean ?

EBAY goes by date USPS shows package scanned in. They do not care what day it was picked up from your porch.

I totally get that but I left 2 at the post office and they were scanned in. Care to expound on that?

@caldreamerFor the sake of discussion, being picked up by a carrier and scanned upon pick up is the same as dropping it off at a local branch and being scanned. eBay is looking for when it is in the possession of USPS, regardless of whether it is a carrier or a branch office.
@moshefitz The first 2 instances should easily be removed if you contact support and have them look at the online tracking. As long as the dates/times match what you have, they should remove the defects.
As for the other 2 in September, as I understand it, UNLESS you indicate on your auctions you are a Saturday shipper, eBay considers shipping days as non-holiday Monday through Friday. So if someone bought something on Friday 09/03, you do not ship on Saturday 09/04, and Monday 09/06 was a holiday, the next business day for shipping is Tuesday 09/07. You might want to ask them about that as well.
If the defects JUST appeared on your account, you might want to wait a day and see if they drop off by themselves. I have had that happen numerous times due to glitches with USPS and eBay sites not talking correctly to each other. One day they are there, the next they are gone.

looking at the dashboard and trying to figure out why items are late or not is nerve wracking
ther will be a lot of it till the year ends
last year in November and December I had dozen of the lates descored
I had entire columns where they changed them to not late
ebay is pretty good with the late forgivness as long as you are shipping when you say you do
I use ebay shipping 6 days a week and ebay knows when I ship
I only use 1st class with USPS.ebay has a lot of faith in my shipping so I try not to fret about it

According to the information you provided those shipments should not be counted as dings
You could seek help from social media eBay Facebook eBay for Business and they are on twitter also
You could try going to eBay homepage and on the bottom right is Help and Contact --> Contact Us
Try and get a call back and explain the situation and have then look at you're account

@moshefitz I used to fight undeserved defects all the time. After wasting hours of my life on the phone and chats, I stopped fighting them unless it impacted our Top Rated Seller status. They repeatedly told me, oh, don't worry, if it gets to the point that it impacts your seller status, then we'll address the issue. We never got to that point, but I wanted our account to be accurate and reflect actual facts, not some tech glitch.
And @3576betsyd is correct - they don't count days that are national holidays as business days. If the USPS is closed, how can you possibly be expected to ship?
It is infuriating that you do everything you can to be a quality seller and abide by ebay's rules, only to have them refuse to do the right thing and correct their mistake.
I wish I had better advice for you. You could ask on the ebay facebook page and send a private message asking them to review the defects. Best of Luck!

I just finished a CHAT with an ebay person who said they will look into it. Now its a wait and see and Ill update this once I see an email with the decision.

I've exchanged multiple multiple emails with Ebay support. I just mailed another one including documentation of USPS tracking and ebay stats. They do seem eager to help, but are not receptive to the fact that their own system of tracking is not inline with the tracking of USPS. I'm still waiting, I keep getting emails letting me know that i have a grace period and to just wait. But that defeats the purpose of them actually looking into my account with an open mind. Sure I'm small time but I'm part of the backbone of EBay. Ive been a small time seller for over 20 years. We'll see.

Hi @moshefitz, sometimes orders with tracking that "indicate late delivery" (past the estimated delivery date) will appear on your dashboard, even if you shipped them on time with a valid scan. However, they almost always fall off on Wednesday nights.
When you check your dashboard on Thursday afternoon (Friday at the latest), you should see that your late shipment rate has been adjusted and those transactions have been removed. It will look like this:

You can call ebay and talk to an agent and have the dings removed. I've done that. Just make sure you have all your tracking info in front of you. Just know they will not remove dings for late arrivals, or at least they didn't for me.

I've been checking my Late Shipment report and the original four late shipments are still showing. The last email I received asked me to wait 72 hours while this was being escalated to the internal team. Its been 6 days. I just sent another curt response and cited them on not escalating and to please quit reminding me that they appreciate that I've been a seller since 1999. They also used the closing to me as "Stay Safe". Poor.
I'm laid up after foot surgery so I have plenty of time to keep checking my seller account and following up on them. I'm at the stage now where I will not acquiese.

So, after multiple contacts, PDF's and documents, EBAY refuses to remove the late tracking upload. Even with proof all they said was that I should start using Ebay Labels. I wrote back and said Ive been using their labels for years. No reply. Very disappointed in customer service.

I can assure you no matter what others are saying on this calling E-bay if you can get someone which it is being set up you cannot hardly call at all, if a carrier picks your packages up and does not scan your packages which happens alot in my small town and you have no way of knowing whether the carrier scanned or not you will get dinged on Ebay even if the package arrives ontime I have even quit trying to get them off from Ebay frustrating
