Sold an Item, buyer didn`t pay, started a claim, now I`m the one that has to play the waiting came, again.
Had to wait for the buyer Not to pay, now I have to wait for eBay to do their thing. All the time I`m losing time and money not to mention now I have to wait again to relist my item, then I get to wait for it to sell, again. Can I leave Negitive feedback for the flakey buyer while this is going on....NO!!! So now I sit with my unsold item waiting for my next encounter. This unpaid process need to go alot faster, I also think some kind of action should be taken for non payment, not just a slap on the hand....
Time to wait for an answer, again

This hapens to most of us from time to time.
You need to select immediate payment required.

In many ways, that is exactly how a buyer feels when they find what they want and it's an auction. I have to invest an entire week in seeing if I can buy it, then at the last minute either someone comes along and outbids you or they run up the price.
When you do win, something that you've watched for 10 days you now have to wait 5 days for the seller to get around to shippnig it and then wait a week because the seller only uses SmartPost......

So now it is the sellers fault for using auctions and you don't get to buy because you bid too low?
Give me a break.
Don't bid if it is an auction!
Another immediate gratification buyer!

Do we not understand comparisons? Buyers don't want to wait, don't bid on auctions. SELLERS don't want to wait, don't use auctions. It goes both ways.
ANOTHER IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION SELLER LOL!
I'm hoping this OP is not in such dire straits that waiting SIX days for his $32 is going to make or break his rent payment.
Maybe if he was liquidating his parents' estate to pay for their burial fees I'd get it. But complaining about waiting six days to relist for less than $50 is just silly.

I will do that from now on. eBay should charge a restocking fee for none payment, then give it to the seller for their troubles.

Gosh it would be nice if you could leave a negitve for them. Sounds like they earned it. Or maybe they should get a nice reward like 50 ebay bucks or cookies. best regards

People change their minds. It is inconvenient for sellers. I'm assuming you never changed your mind and returned something to a store?

I don`t mind waiting to get payed. It`s waiting and NOT getting paid. Auction or not You Bid You Pay. How hard is that to understand. Weather 1 dollar or 1,000. If you want to play you got to pay!!!!!!

Yes I have.....But I PAY for it 1st. If I don`t like it to begin with don`t bid

Years ago, Sellers could neg a non-payer. And after they had been tagged with NBB by 4 sellers for no payment, They got booted off ebay.

I just don't understand why auctions are still a thing.
buyers hate them.
Sellers hate them (but still use them)
99% of what is on eBay has a known value. Your Harry Potter VHS aint gonna sell for $1000 in a bidding war no matter how much you hope it happens.

"I just don't understand why auctions are still a thing."
----------
Sellers hope their nice item will sell for an even nicer price.
Buyers hope they will get a very nice item, for a smaller amount.

Because ebay INSISTS on giving HALF of a store's listing allotment as auctions. Most sellers would much rather have that other half to list as they please.

The buyer gets a strike when the UPI closes; you get your fees back. Do you have your blocks set? Just two strikes can stop that buyer from buying from most sellers.
You can list fixed price, immediate payment required to eliminate this. 80% of listings are fixed price, IPR.
