I am interested in knowing how you, as sellers also operating in the EU market, are handling the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).
Could you please advise where you found the vendors for your listings?
Also, do you participate in this program, or have you simply stopped shipping to EU countries?
Thank you very much for your response. We are feeling desperate and shocked as new sellers here and are unsure of the best course of action.
Thank you again.

You are in Ukraine... and this is the seller forum for the USA, so our experiences here are going to be different from yours.
As far as my personal selling account on eBay is concerned, I am enrolled in the eBay international shipping program (eIS), and my understanding is that eBay is managing all aspects of GSPR compliance for my items. I am not restricting my sales in any way.
Most of my items are glass and porcelain and antiques and will not be affected by GSPR.
I did, however, list some brand new Italian-made beauty soap last week.
Yesterday I received an OECD notice that it had been recalled in Europe, and eBay removed my listing, which means I cannot sell the soap on eBay to American customers either.

Can you please provide a link to that information where EIS is going to do that? As I understood it, eBay's "managing" was limited to not displaying your item to those countries when the SELLER has not provided the compliance information.
So far the only responsibility that eBay has taken was regarding 'Germany' when sellers were supposedly required to register (for a fee) with regards to the amount of packing material being sent to the country or some such. For UK restrictions, they just tell the buyer the seller doesn't ship there, even though that country is not specifically excluded by the seller.
If you have information to the contrary, it would be good to know. There are only a few days left before it is supposed to be enforced.

As a US seller I dont ship to any foreign countries.
I use EIS and they either display the items for sale in those countries or they dont.
I will not pay a fee or try to figure out other countries requirements.

Join the club -- many of us have been waiting since June 2024 for a final and concise explanation from eBay regarding how eBay will assist in resolving any selling issues with the GPSR, particularly any 3rd Party sales which may leave eBay sellers exposed to liability suits.

I only sell internationally through EIS, and since I sell coins I really don't think those regulations apply. Hope not, or perhaps that stuff won't be available in the EU.

Yes, that's effectively what I meant -- eBay's "management" is limited to not displaying listings. I am not providing any compliance information for any of my listings, all of which are estate sale finds and for which health, safety and "sustainability" are not an issue -- as far as I can tell.
I was merely accenting the fact that there was no action that I personally had to take... its all being done with computers or AI of some sort, at least that is what I have deduced from reading these forums... I believe an eBay community team member made the same point sometime over the summer in a discussion here. (Sorry I do not recall the specific conversation or thread.)

Here's a partial general listing of excluded categories that apparently won't be affected by the GPS regulations --
Which categories are excluded from the GPSR?
The following products and categories are excluded from the General Product Safety Regulation:
- Medicinal products
- Food and feed products
- Living animals and plants
- Genetically modified organisms and microorganisms
- Animal by-products
- Plant protection products, also referred to as pesticides
- Plant and animal products related to their reproduction
- Antiques
- Certain types of aircraft
- Travel equipment operated by a service provider to transport consumers
- Products that need to be repaired, reconditioned, or recycled prior to being used and are clearly marked as such
To view the entire list, download our Excluded Categories on eBay document. You can also learn more by checking Article 2 of the GPSR.
Definitely check out the entire "Excluded Categories on eBay document" download. It seems to have been put together in no particular order; but is quite revealing for what is excluded from the GPS regulations.
Like everybody else, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
And, for those who have not yet read about the GPS regulations, here's the overview --
