Can delete variation item from my listings.

I have a listing with 72 variations. I sold one on another site and when try to edit the listing and click either `Delete' or check the box then hit delete at the top the screen greys out. Tried it 10x with same result. Am I missing something? Have had issues before with this item. Thanks.

Go to edit Variations at the top click on it and remove it from the variations by clicking on the x on the variation you want to remove. The way you are trying to do it hasn't worked for a couple of years.

Do you use the "out of stock" option?

If so it's as simple as changing the quantity to "0".

Even if they don't use the out of stock option, it should be easy to go into revise and change that variation to 0.  It's been a while since I've used variation listings though so perhapw something has changed.

Go to
"Listings--->Active
Right Under the Title of your listing title click
[XX Variations]
All your variations for that title will list....

Under the column "Available quantity"
change the quantity for that item(variation) to "0" in the popup box

add and subtract as you need
easy stuff...I love variations LOL

Dec 2024 and this problem is still there.

People telling you to change it to 0 should not be responding here.
That is not the problem. We can change it to 0 no issues.

If you change it to 0 the option stays in the listing as grey out of stock and it is a bad buyer experience if the item does not exist.

We only want them to see what variations we have. Not what eBay glitches out and can not remove.

Here is the kicker.
I have this issue on 3 out of 7 listings I tried so it is listing specific.

Something breaks a listing to where delete variation just goes grey no pop up no confirmation.

It can freeze up if you click delete next to the variation @7catsprinting  - long term bug.

The solution is to check the box to the left of the variation on the screen where you enter quantities, then use the delete button above the list of variations. That works.

A second solution that works is to go one screen further where you create each variation (like color, or whatever), and delete from that screen.

Well that really messed things up.

When going to the further edit screen which we should not have to do, and manually removing via the little X, just one variation as a test, then going back to the listing, a whole bunch went missing that we for sure did not touch. Now I have to do inventory on a listing with 96 variations and see if it is fixable.

The listing itself is somehow glitched forever.
