Hello beautiful people,
Firstly.. This is my first post in this community. Yay! I've been lurking, learning & answering questions, just haven't started a discussion myself. Be nice, or mean, whichever gets the question answered and makes for a interesting discussion!
As the title says, this was updated 2-3 weeks ago. When doing comps filtered by Sold listings, it used to show the entire Category tree (usually truncated) at the top of the page. But now, the category isn't shown at all. Unless it was moved and I've lost my vision & common sense; I don't see it anywhere. It's really important to know the Category the item was sold in.
Is this intended? Am I missing something? Seems like a really odd thing to remove. Do we know why it's no longer being displayed, if it's intended or a bug.. is eBay aware? I can't be the only one missing this! Many times the same items are sold in different categories, some with 500 results, some with 15k. This was a big part of how I chose which listing to "Sell Similar". The category is shown in the draft once you do select it, but that's not relevant or helpful when comping. Creating 20 drafts for every item just to figure out which Category it was sold under is unreasonable.
Apologies if there's already a discussion on this. I tried to look. As mentioned, I'm rather new here so maybe I just didn't know where to look. Anyway, would really love to know what's going on. Thanks!

It has been moved, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. There is a section with shop top rated sellers, and related searches. It is at the very top of that section.

The more promoted listings for similar items the more scrolling a buyer has to do to get the bottom of the page.

Oh.. wow. I see it now. I just had to scroll for what feels like 94 minutes to get to the bottom. I see it though.
This is horrible. In what right mind does this change make sense? Lol. But alright. Thank you for pointing it out. I guess I'll continue to pretend its removed because spending this amount of time to scroll to the bottom of every listing is just anti-user friendly. Guess the category isn't that important to SEO, that it deserves the absolute footer of the page as it's home. blehhh.
Ty for your help.

It's to make sure you scroll past all those other listings so the algorithm can parse them as 'seen'.
ebay has NEVER valued a seller's time or effort btw.

Your welcome!
Not a fan either, but at least it is still on the page.

Remember that you can use the "end" tab on a pc to get to the bottom of the page........I usually have to hit it twice and the page keeps loading.........but quicker than scrolling.......
