This is an absolutely awful change that has been made, to be locked into this. Please reverse this decision.

As far as hoping eBay will walk back this change, this question came up at Chat on March 27, 2019. One of the Blues stated in Chat that eBay has no plans to rescind this change.
You can read the Chat if you care to confirm this; there are other GTC related questions there as well.

Start writings to list. Save them .start them all to end at night. Count 28 or 29 days on a huge calendar. Close the all of the listings on those 2 days. (Or 1 day Incase you are busy the next day. Then relist them again. Count 28-29 days.
rinse and repeat. Don’t fall victim to ebay’s Atrocious policy on screwing sellers.

Clicking on the link posted above results in an Access Denied screen. Here's a link to the actual chat thread (directing to page 1):
Weekly Chat
And here's a link to the specific post (which is on page 2):

I think your link was to the announcement of the upcoming chat--not the chat thread itself. Apparently, after the chat is over, they take down (as in delete) the announcement thread; hence, it goes to an "Access Denied" page.
No big deal, but you're welcome!
Thank you, I thought it might be that.

I would rather leave eBay than enter the Math Olympics it requires to manage the cancellations. I ahve already moved on to another platform.
