GTC Listings stopped early, keep relisting on thier own.

What the heck is going on. My wife stops her GTC listings, cancels two days early. So they do not auto relist.

Surprise surprise, they reappear as an active listing.  She stops deletes the listing, 24 hours later they reappear as active.

I changed a GTC listing yesterday to a 7 day auction, ended the auction, deleted the auction, so it was entirely gone. Wife says it reappeared as a current 7 day auction.

Some new items my wife listed as GTC never actually listed. We are fighting over this **bleep** because we are getting billed by ebay for the relists. Plus no sales. Seriously thinking no more listing on ebay, becoming a total joke.

Same happened to me  yesterday  142 relisted on there own after ending them a few were items that I had deleted . It took 2 hours on the phone with ebay had to call twice as the first rep did not have a clue. FINELY THE SECOND REP ADMITTED IT WAS A GLITCH ON EBAYS END.  I just received credit on my account last night.  Will ebay refund ALL the ones that this happened to or just the ones that catch it.

Congratulations....you were fortunate enough to find a competent rep!  I have spent numerous hours on the telephone being transferred from one person to another and still have not been credited with the 12 re-listings that were due to expire in 24 hours.  I am now removing my GTC listings 2-3 days prior to expiration.

Just biding my time until the end of my store contract and then I'm done!

And now they're padding your bill with Double Charges and improperly taking back Free Listings ... for the newest GTC Technical Glitch.

Everyone needs to check their invoices very carefully and make sure to get back what eBay took.

Re: GTC Listings stopped early, keep relisting on thier own.

I just had the same problem. I watch my relists very carefully . Well they just relisted 47 of my listings, using up all my free listing and charging me for 17 listings! When I look at my relist list , they are not on there! I guess I will have to spend a few hours on the phone tomorrow

Re: GTC Listings stopped early, keep relisting on thier own.

I called and the best they would do is credit the relist fees.  But that doesn't help me with the 30 free listings they used up.  I got the impression they have done a lot of re listing early lately.T rep I spoke with seemed very familiar the complaint.  Hopefully, they will fix their latest "let's see what we can get away with, glitch"

I think people who took down their old listings, and manually made a new listing (rather than a relist) need to be extra careful that they don't start getting Duplicate Listing issues!

Re: GTC Listings stopped early, keep relisting on thier own.

You ended your listing before they could be relisted by ebay, yet ebay reinstated  your listings despite your cancellation? I guess I would have to call my funding source and have them repuke the charges ebay has imposed once your invoice comes in showing these erroneous charges. I do not a genius mind, but I protect my $$ no matter what!

Are you assuming that Ebay wouldn't issue them a credit if this is a site error?

What you suggest would cause the seller to be late in paying Ebay and that can cause problems on their selling account.

I think it is in their best interest to notify Ebay of the problem and have them fix it, then issues the credits.  They may very well be able to do that before the invoice cut off date therefore the seller would never have to submit payment on these listings that may have been incorrectly charged.

Re: GTC Listings stopped early, keep relisting on thier own.

Hello all, I discussed the issue with eBay on the phone, and they provided us with some helpful advice that may have protected us from potential issues, so I'd like to share it with anyone who ran in to this issue!

They'll gladly help with any charges you may have, so that's not too much of an issue as long as you catch it on your bill. But once thing you may want to make sure is if you relisted the item, that you don't have any duplicates if the item ends up becoming active again!

I asked if there was any way to track down and find any items that may have been duplicated in this way. The eBay representative recommended I use the following tool: http://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/DuplicateListings.htm

The tool will give you a list of items that could be possible duplicates. It did save us from a few potential violations! Based on that, I think it would be a good idea to protect yourself from any further issues!

Good luck!
