I don't and never did ... it makes no sense for a business to send out random promotions in "hopes" that they may improve their bottom line (operative word "their"). "Random" applies to lottery tickets.

There is a department that writes the Promotions, the people who work in that department are on the payroll which means there HAS to be an ROI on what is sent out to justify keeping them employed.

Promotions are targeted, period, and nobody will convince me otherwise. One example is an Everyday Rate plan ID that got promo after promo, month after month, until the total listings were over 300 ... then the promos stopped for about 2 months ... then a message comes through for an offer on a Basic Store (knowing full well that to Relist all those listings over 50 per month would cost $). THAT is not a series of "random" events ... it was targeted and programmed pure and simple.

Just prior to opening a store on another account I read a number of threads where Sellers said once they opened a store the promotions stopped ... I experienced pretty much the same thing ... I only receive very, very occasional Promotions and they are so category specific or time sensitive that they can not be used.

I keep getting them and never use them. I hate them and I hate to list while these are going on. All that gets put up is the junk that no one buys, and causes me to weed thru thousands of stupid listings of a single playing card or 1 plastic toy soldier made in china.

Well in my daughter's case, as I'm her "listing fairy", it's about the only thing that does motivate me to do some for her LOL

Otherwise I just rotate her stuff through the 50 freebies a month = )

(Not like I don't have plenty of stuff of my own unlisted as yet)

Same here @ymeagainlord. Nothing on my store account. Well I should say nothing in terms of free listings. What I did get is an upsell message trying to convince me to upgrade to a higher level /more expensive store. Nope, sorry. Not happenin'. Especially since ironically I have been contemplating downgrading to a "Starter" store. 😉

Same here - upgrade for $30 for one month - no ty! Did not receive any promos on any of my accts - but did get a return because the buyer did not read the listing once again. I never use to put measurements in and in all those years - never had a return - now I specificly put measurements in every listing and they don't bother reading them.

I got the auction promo 2 days ago. It ended today. Frankly, I get so many promos that I rarely mention them anymore. I don't have a store.

Got the auction promo that just expired (ignored it) and got the 200 auction/FP promo yesterday.

I seem to get a lot of them, and do not have a store.

I get a lot of them as well. I think they are trying to drag me back into listing again. Sorry, took a big long break and now I just cannot get motivated .... even free doesn't motivate me to list.
