Fraud?!

Hi so I posted a handbag for sale about a year ago. I bought this handbag directly from the store. I have the receipt and the verification tag inside the bag. eBay took down my listing right after posting because they said it was fraudulent. They didn’t even give me a chance to verify that it was indeed not fraudulent. They also told me I could never post the same product again? I’m just curious how I can either appeal this or if there’s any way to go about it? Thank you!

A year ago? Have a feeling that the deadline for appealing expired awhile back.

Well I still have the handbag and still want to sell it.

OK, but would not advise that you try to sell it on eBay.

eBay does that with some listings including Vero violations. I take it you never contacted eBay about the matter. After a year they probably no longer have a record of it.

Just be advised that there was a scam by an ebay seller who bought new bags from the name brand store and then returned fakes that the stores accepted and presumably put back on the shelf.  She got caught.......and tried.......but there could be more doing the same thing.........

My very best advice—find somewhere else to sell your bag.

If you relist it, even after all this time, the risk is too great that it will get removed again. Even if you were able someway to convince eBay that it is a legit item and then they gave you the go-ahead to relist, my best advice—do not risk your selling privileges over one item. Because even with eBay permission, the risk is too great it will get removed again, and you will get slapped with a stricter punishment.

eBay penalties are cumulative, especially with multiple violations for the same infraction. You are on their radar now.

Whatever you do, don’t relist.

You wouldn't receive the funds for 30+ days since you haven't sold anything lately.

Plus, you are probably not even hooked up to manage payments to receive the funds.

I suggest friends or employees who might buy it...and you will get the money quicker.

Rest assured that Ebay has the wherewithal to retain all such records for many years although they do limit access to such records from sellers apart from feedback.
