I sold some clothing and the buyer paid immediately, but in Paypal's shipping information it had PLEASE SHIP TO: (name, address, etc.)

So I did, and tracking shows the item arrived just fine.

A month later, the buyer has opened a case saying her account was hacked and someone else put that shipping address. She is asking for a refund.

Shouldn't she take that up with ebay/paypal??

The OP stated that it was shipped to the address in the PP transaction, which is what was needed.

Right - which is under the buyers control. If they selected the wrong one, it's not the sellers fault.

This is the address I used - Everyone keeps asking.... Yes, it was the PAYPAL address when you receive a payment. See how it says "shipto" as part of the address. I really didn't notice, as I clicked print label, and dropped it in the mail the next day. In hindsight, maybe that does seem fishy now, but I had no idea.

The case the buyer opened is an 'item not received' case, although I do have tracking and delivery confirmation to the hacked/fake address above.

It is confusing, even to me, how this happened or why the buyer is blaming me she was hacked. I'm just selling a few things here and there and never would have thought the address was fake.

But this is eBay. I would call (eBay) tomorrow and keep the hacking details out. You shipped, it was delivered period.

Let's try this another way just to be sure. Did you manually change anything with the address or did you print it using exactly what was shown entered on the PAYPAL payment? If you didn't change it, you maintained your seller protection.

If you did, you didn't.

A month? It took the buyer a month? I have to agree with other posts...keep it simple and do not communicate with the buyer.

NO I didn't change it, there was nothing to change. I printed the label with the address as it was given.

I did not receive this item my account was hacked and someone else put in address to receive.

Call eBay tonight and get this closed in your favor. It's possible they will see the buyers note and close the case in her favor and then throw you to the wolves--they will tell you any seller protection needs to come from PayPal even though the case is with eBay.
