You would think that the Ebay folks would take offense to this listing but apparently not. They say it does not violate their policies. Now thats a head scratcher

AI is illiterate.

@obsoletecandy I have stopped reporting listings.
AI doesnt usually agree that its not per policy.
Even if you write why it is against policy.
Until eBay decides that they care, I dont either.
Its a waste of my time to report any listings.
Its not my site and I dont get paid to report listings.

Yes it is. Guess Ebay is replacing common sense humans with AI trash. Pretty sad

I usually don't bother but there is always that one listing that makes its way into the public eye which I can't help but to report to see the response. At the end of the day its not my company so I really don't care either

I reported one that had payment information in pictures to pay outside of ebay.
NO violation found.
LOL

A waste of thinking...which artificial intelligence lacks as a human.
Russia is an embargo country where we are not allowed to sell anything that states 'Russia'.
Yet eBay allows it for hundreds of sellers.

Do you really think eBay scrubs each photo that is posted in members listings on their site?

AI doesn't seem to care about pictures only text. If nobody reports it, it stays up. Like swasticas on items I've seen for a few days then they disappear.
At least that's what I figue is happening with some listings.

Maybe they honestly don't care. If you're using the platform to sell your goods, you clearly don't think they suck all that badly. 😁

You did your part and reported it. That's all you are required to do. I would not worry to much more about it.

I don't believe the AI can see images.
Lots of abused by images.

I reported several earlier today. The mildest ones said eBay sucks, several were far worse. Every.Single. One. eBay said it doesn’t violate any policies. Fine eBay, I’m done reporting.

I would not necessarily be too discouraged by a form letter indicating that AI did not find a policy violation; plenty of items I have reported have produced exactly the same form letters, only to have the listings removed shortly after that once a person actually takes a look.
eBay gets so many reports that it is probably not feasible to have each one looked at by a person in a timely fashion, so I am not surprised that eBay uses AI to screen those reports and then has people check the listings that get the most reports that cannot be handled by a bot.
The more independent reports that eBay receives, the more likely eBay is to take action against the listing if there is a policy violation, whether it can be spotted by a bot or not.
