Shipped a video card to someone in a apt. Says deliverd to office even though I never gave usps permission to. Buyer 3 weeks after it was delivered says she never got the item. Found out her apt. Complex and called the office they said the package was in their back room. Contacted buyer that the package was waiting for her. She then picked it up. Closed the case day later but my funds were still on hold due to her request. Called Ebay the last week and they tried to do a manual release and it's not working. Called them once per day now for a week finally got someone that was willing to help and said he escalated it to highest department whoever that is. Still waiting over a week later for funds to be released. Horrible service no apologies. So from now on no longer selling to apartments due to no proof of delivery. Ebay loses money when I do not sell so they are shooting themselves in the foot. Just **bleep** service. Beware.

I'll sell to anyone with a valid address. All you need is tracking that says 'Delivered' and you are protected.

You go canceling orders just because they live in an apartment, you wont be selling here long.

One bad experience and you won't sell to apartments? Yes, bad things happen. You will eventually get your money. What about home owners who say they didn't get it. That's just even silly to say.

Don't let that turn you off selling to people that live in apartments, that's just limiting yourself. I'd be more worried about it getting stolen, even then use shipping with tracking and your covered when it arrives. maybe even let the customer know it may go to the leasing office so they can check for it. In my apartments they wont tell you a package arrived to their office, the staff simply don't have time for it. you have to go and check with them yourself.

I cann cancel any order due to address no ding on account so why say that

Homeowners have addresses and not offices to drop off and tracking becomes void.

I did check on it and it was there thank God. If eBay cleared this issue up within a week maybe my view would be different.

You are the only person shooting themselves in the foot if you decide you will not sell to people living in apartments, which I highly doubt is even possible.

Tracking showed delivered. All you had to do was respond to the case with the tracking no. Ebay would've closed the case in your favor (commentary about being delivered at office will not cause any other issue as
1.( ebay does not look at the commentary, only 'delivered'.
2.) Many people get their things sent to their 'office' (work) so they get the item and it doesn't sit on the porch.
Unless you plan on googling each address, you won't know if it's an apartment or someone's work and even googling, you may not be able to tell.
Continue to 'cancel' due to address, and ebay will see a pattern and you will have issues. The 'address thing' for cancelling is when a label won't print because of an address error. Not because 'you don't want to'.
Lastly; people get items stolen off the porch of homes all the time, and they can still open a NR case with you- no different and the outcome would be no different.
Like others stated, trying to 'not' ship to apartments is just hurting yourself.

I live in a condominium. Will you sell to me?
What about people in a mobile home park?
Assisted living complexes?
Gated communities?

This is why you only ship to confirmed addresses. Seller Protection should have protected you. Next check that the address is confirmed.

What about hotels?

Just when you think you've heard it all.
I'm going to stop selling to any address that has the number "1" in it.
