Is cubic shipping more likely to reduce the cost of dense packages?  Most of my shipments are fragile items with lots of bubble wrap.  I'm mostly shipping air.  I don't think this will affect me.

Well it certainly took them long enough to implement that change. Ground advantage cubic still represents some good saving opportunities but the last USPS price increase pretty much negated the cost advantage to priority mail cubic. The flat rate boxes and envelops seem to work out to be the better bargain.

My very recent experience is that these Cubic rates are not showing in my listings so that bidders are able to see the reduced shipping cost. Also, if they are the winning bidder, they don't see the reduced price in the invoice sent to them by eBay. Instead, on the listing, I think they see the *actual* (higher) shipping charge (before discount).  This is not good: some bidders will skip the listing because of such high estimated shipping, not realizing that the ACTUAL shipping will be much less. Suggestions? Should my listing say: "PLEASE IGNORE the eBay shipping estimate above; actual shipping cost will be discounted"? This seems ridiculous, I know, but how else can it be made clear that the shipping estimate does not reflect the eBay Cubic pricing discount that WILL BE APPLIED after the sale???

You can show your buyers the "actual" (as you see it) postage by making sure your shipping preferences are set to pass on your commercial discounted prices to your buyers.

Anyone who only charges "actual" postage is losing money on shipping of everything they mail out without reference to ebay fees etc.
