View chart has been crazy lately. I know that the views fluctuate days later but this takes the cake. Last week I had a day when my external views were at 138 which is absolutely high for me. 7 days later it now says that there were only 18 external views. Been noticing this a lot more lately. Also had multiple days last week when my views were in the green and noticed this morning everyone of those now shows they were way below the actual view count.
I understand that eBay "real time" is nowhere close to actual counts but this has gotten way worse since the update in August.

eBay has said that views can be subtracted if it is later determined that the views were the result of a "machine" (or "bot traffic").
"A secondary filtering process performs a deeper analysis on a daily basis and removes bot traffic that may not have been caught by the initial filtering. (This can cause your page views to decrease)".

I did not know that view counts were suppose to be "Real Time". There is only one definition of Real Time. IDK if Ebay has ever had views in real time. Nor do I think Ebay has said they are Real Time. There is a delay, but I don't know how much of one. But it certainly isn't Real Time.

This is due to an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period, which has caused processing delays.

I have noticed fluctuating view counts for sometime now & find them hard to be trustworthy, I wish I could trust them.

Processing delay would be if they showed 10 views and then added a few later. But to say I'm getting 100 views and then a few days later it shows 60 isn't a processing delay.

I don't think you understand how the View numbers work. It's a rolling 30 day period. If you click on the number you can see View information for the past 2 years.

I have always seen fluctuating view counts, and have found that my sales are better when the number of external views are higher.
I have also seen that when I have high interest auctions running, I have increases in my organic views which exceed the increases in those auction listings.
Nothing I have seen sets off alarm bells.
