HI!
I was wondering if any one places products in these before the item sells?
Thank you😊

I'm not sure what exactly you are asking, but sometimes I'll stick stuff in one to make sure it actually fits before I offer that option in my listing. I don't usually leave my item in them, though, or I lose track of where my stuff is since I can't see through them.

My items are stored in the actual shipping box or envelope. I have three palettes of 12x12x8 boxes, two for shoe boxes and smaller boxes are on shelves. Envelopes are in bins. I generally know which palette or bin the package should be in.

I put items into the Priority packages to test if it fits.
I do not leave the merchandise in the packages.
It is easier to affix a shipping label to an empty package because merchandise is often three dimensional and warps the package.

That flat rate Priority Mail envelope is made for FLAT DOCUMENTS.
But yes, i've seen sellers use it to ship items.
Very poor choice.

I generally only prepackage items that will either be tough to package or items that I THINK I can get under a pound for first class if I build the box. In that case I build the box during listing and then just leave it in that box afterwards.
Prepacking everything makes your inventory take more space and ends up being extra work as some things will never sell and other times people might buy multiple items at once requiring different packaging.
Also, I noticed you selling trading cards with $4.60 shipping. You are lighting money on fire doing that now that ebay standard envelope exists. Your customers either won't buy from you at all, or they will only buy after adjusting that $4.60 shipping rate off the item because most of your competition is somewhere between 59 cents a 99 cents on shipping for cards now.
Might want to reconsider forcing your customers to pay for priority flat rate shipping on all those cheap light items. They are just going to bid less money and you are going to pay more in fees.
The last 2 are just thoughts from someone who does this for a living and shipped over 1000 orders in the last 30 days.

I ship jeans in these. Admittedly, items are pressed, tissue-wrapped (with a Thank You note), enclosed in an eBay polymailer (that is practically vacuum-packed) and sealed before they go in one. I also put a strip of eBay tape along the glued corners, just for good measure. So far, haven't lost a pair or had a complaint yet!

I have seen Shed Flips on you tube prepack Wrangler jeans into polymailers. That is the one time it made sense. He had the opportunity to buy a bunch of them at a low price. He didn't want to accidentally get confused as to which jean was which. I believe he put them in polymailers, and put the item number on the end of the polymailer. He might have used a padded flat rate. Have to watch it again. When he stacked them, he could easily see the item number. I do not think he sealed the poly mailer, so he could put a card or thank you in the mailer before shipping.
This could be done with any flat rate envelope, padded mailer, or boxes. I don't do this, since prepacking an item usually takes up much more space than just storing the item itself in a bin or box.

I see noting wrong with that, as long as it's kinda flat.
But i've seen people ship non-flat and fragile items in these before.
They offer no protection.

I have used them for years for all sorts of items other than fragile items. I just reinforce some of the edges with tape. They are one of my favorite options for some pieces of clothing. Irregular items can be wrapped in some bubble wrap before placing in the envelope. As USPS says, if it fits it ships.
