Pizza party still happening tonight! It is funny I guess that I get a negative the day before I throw only party ever for myself.

Enjoy the pizza party. You deserve it. Selling on eBay is tough, and to do it with such equanimity is even tougher.
As for the stupid neg, I do wonder why in every such neg the item always "reeks" of cigarette smoke. The item never smells of smoke, or gives off the smell of it, or has the odor of, or is redolent of it, or is permeated with it, or stinks of it. Nope. It always REEKS of it.
Here's to the party for your 2000th sale!

On some level I agree with that. But there are times where the situation would not be helped by reaching out to the seller. You see the response the OP left for the buyer? WASH the game? Really? Didn't deny it reeked of smoke either. If it did or not I don't know. If the seller was just being snarky because of the neg feedback, I don't know.
What I know is the seller didn't respond in the most professional manner. If the game DID reek of smoke, it's NAD. Most have a problem with smoke smells, strong perfumes/scents, and pet hair. If you got a coat covered in cat or dog hair, what is the seller going to do to make the situation better? Should not the seller at LEAST have cleaned it up before listing?
Feedback IS a means for buyers to relate their experince. Sometimes buyers get carried away or vengeful. Sometimes sellers do a BAD job. Listening to the sellers here, you'd think buyers are the enemy. I'm getting kind of sick of that attitude. Buyers are the whole reason sellers are here. That doesn't mean every case, the seller is in the wrong. But the OP certainly is IF they sold a game stinking of an ashtray. THEY should have cleaned it up.
What's next? Selling a shirt stinking of BO and the buyer is just supposed to like it? I mean, sellers have a job here. I don't care if they want to take shortcuts. Take a shortcut and upset a buyer, reap your reward buddy. Buyers are not competing for the junk people list here. Sellers are competing for sales. If you are offering garbage bin junk, expect clap back. I don't care if you want to call it vintage or retro, junk is junk. It's the sellers job to present a nice product to the buyer, not the buyer to make a Gucci purse from a sow's ear.

Well, I was being a bit snarky as you call it
I have a 100% history of solving any problem I create to the buyers satisfaction.
And yes, washing your game with soap and water is the recommended course of action for cleaning a video game. It sounds counter intuitive but using alcohol would destroy the label, using mild detergent and water and drying the game is the proper procedure to clean dirt or smell.
Why should I beg this person to return an item they received a week ago?
I obviously offer free returns and am still offering to make it right to this person.
It does affect me and the considerable investments I have made and made exclusive to this platform, I have offered a very good deal to remove the feedback but I cannot make people want to be friendly

Well, simple question....
Did it smell like smoke? If it did, why didn't YOU clean it before listing it? Don't you think that would have headed off any future problems?
Not saying you didn't offer the buyer a reasonable solution. But can you understand why a buyer would be ticked if they got something in the mail that stinks like an ashtray if they don't smoke? Some people are incredibly sensitive to smoke smell. It sounds like you offer the right CS for buyers. But I have no idea if you spend the time to offer a nice product. Because it sounds like the buyer wasn't lying about the condition of the game, and it doesn't sound like you did anything to clean it up before you sold it.
If the buyer is being truthful, then you should have expected the neg feedback.

My big question is do you smoke? Just saying. I can smell a smoker's car walking through the parking lot. And smokers can not smell the stink themselves.
Anyway, I'm not getting on you if you do smoke, but the items you are selling should not be in the same room or anywhere near you or anyone else smoking. Plastics, wood, and ceramics do absorb smoke smell. I'm sure there are other smokers here who will describe how they keep things smoke-free.
I have a beautiful ceramic lamp I picked up near the coast years ago, and after I had it in my home for an hour or two, I could smell the embedded smoke. I tried everything, but couldn't get rid of it.
And yes, every complaint hurts all sellers on eBay. The complaints from buyers chase other buyers away.
Try a little diluted bleach/water or some dry baking soda to eliminate the smell. But if the plastic has absorbed the smoke smell and it won't come out, note it in the listing or junk it.

If this is an example of the games you are selling covered in smoke soot, then I would be prepared for more bad feedback. Those games need cleaned up if the nicotine stains are that thick on the games. They look pretty gross. I can only imagine the stink on those games if that is nicotine stains.
Since you haven't said yet if the games you sold did stink, I will assume the buyer was being truthful. If this is your style of reselling, I would expect more complaints and returns. You want your items clean. As a buyer I do not expect to spend my time cleaning up an item I bought here. I don't think other buyers expect to have to clean anything up either.

Clearly that is sunlight damage.
Bye

And clearly you refuse to say IF the games you sold smelled like smoke. So they did. Again, if you sell something that is dirty and gross, expect more feedback from buyers just like you complained about.
Not my problem if you want to keep selling bad products and running your feedback into the dirt. Buyers will not tolerate stuff like that. Smoke smell, pet hair, and strong smells are a fast way to get bad feedback and returns.

Alright thanks for listening, guys!
Have a great weekend, I will come back and celebrate 2,000 sales as soon as possible.
I buy games by the 1,000 - to include games that have BROMIDES in the cartridge shell - where the bromide is formed by UV sunlight damage as often happens to games that sit near a window or some other location in Japan and then I ordered it.
Some of the games that I receive look like they have been pulled from a literal landslide or found buried underground - the time that I spend to source, clean, list, and sell these items is enormous - we are working quickly to scale our operations to sell even larger lots of games
Thanks

1000 sales. One serious complaint.
There's going to be the occasional numpty over reaction as is demonstrated. (wherever)
Outstanding. Press onward.

I understand if you're done reading replies to the thread, but if you happen to see this one, it's not judgement, I promise. -Well, just a slight corrective suggestion. Don't think of your replies to feedback as what you think that person should hear, but what you want future potential buyers to hear. Hopefully you put that one on your Blocked Buyer List so you won't have them again anyway. But mentioning your Free Returns policy in your reply would not be to "beg" them to return, just to let others know that if they have a problem with any of your items, that you will take them back and pay for shipping. Suggesting they wash the item or whatever, that kinda sounds like the opposite of standing by your business.
Okay I guess I kinda am judging, sorry. But you could have said much worse in that reply, LOL. You're gonna do great.

You sold 1,000 items and you already have over 500 feedback?! That’s an insane high ratio for these days.
