As a new seller you would only attract scammers and could end up with nothing. The selling fees run about 10% of the item plus it's shipping cost along with about another 3% for payment transaction fees.
I do not suggest you attempt to sell such a high value item as a new seller however. You first need to build up feedback and learn how eBay works with say under 25.00 items.
Never sell an item you can't afford to lose !

On a 0 feedback account, very likely scammed.
On a smooth sale you'll pay 12.55% of the total cost the buyer pays plus a 30 cent transaction fee. Assume you don't add a separate shipping charge. Assume the buyer's state charges 10% sales tax.
$2,500 + 10% tax = $2,750
$2,500 minus fees on $2,750 = $2,154.58
Now subtract the cost an insured shipping service with signature confirmation. Subtract shipping materials and any other associated costs you may have.

Truth be told, a fresh NEW seller listing a $2,500 piece of jewelry. Can you say...
Probably an empty box and your jewelry / money GONE.
The truth hurts, and reality bites...😮

Expect the worst, but hope for the best. I'd sure recommend selling locally, were I you. Godspeed.

what will I end up with at the end?
Stress, anxiety, a throbbing headache and a need for therapy, which will all immediately follow the SNAD claim for this is not Gold and is fake, which causes e-bay to Hoover back the $2500 like Dorothy riding the tailwinds outta Kansas.
(No offense to the OP, but how does a Seller that registered today have up (2) high-dollar listings that total more than $3k on day 1 and other sellers can only list $10? What am I missing here?)

Right?? New seller limits are very unevenly applied.
Since they're asking about fees instead of looking it up, I'm sure they don't know about payment holds for new sellers and/or sales over $1k (that will be a shock for them), what happens if a buyer claims SNAD and returns a rock, text me scams, or anything else...

What you will wind up with is less than you hoped, and you may get scammed and wind up with only a tale to tell of how you got taken on this site.
My advice: don't sell it here unless you are prepared to take a big loss.
Take the jewelry to a reputable dealer and sell it there. You might get less but at least you can take it to the bank with confidence.

Being a new seller, selling an expensive item, you might not end up with anything if you sell it here.

Wish OP well.
Takes Kahunas of Kevlar to be a new seller and list those, but what do I know. lol

I have noted your ID in anticipation of your coming back here next month:
starting a new thread about having been scammed,
no seller protection,
you are going to file a lawsuit,
why wasn't this explained in a way I could actually understand....
written in all caps and with many exclamation points....

Oh no they already listed it with tons of emojis in the description!!! I can see the 7 lurkers who are watching just salivating! How in the world is this brand new seller allowed to sell this expensive stuff???

I don't know......lol
I stress about a $100 item.....my speed lately for comfort is $50 or less. 😃
(Yes, there are 12 guys named karl who have bookmarked the one with the scale and are waiting to file their SNAD claim as NO SCALE was included in the shipment. 😁
