Total rip off fees, sold an item for $100 with $13.75 for shipping, ebay took $16 in fees.

You didn't say how they ripped you off... You listed an item, did they not charge you the fees they said they would for the services they provided? I guess I'm unclear as to how you got "ripped off" by eBay. Again, did they take fees other than those stated in the TOS which you surely read and agreed to?

The factual print states that the person thinks the charges are a rip-off and I agree!
Also, ebay taking a percentage of the postage cost means that the seller has to fund that themselves or overcharge the buyer which in turn can put off a potential buyer making the purchase or bid.
Read and understand before making nonsensical comments!
If they tell you they charge one fee, but instead charge you another, THAT would be a "rip-off". If, however, they tell you exactly what they charge and you agree to it by choosing to put your widget for sale on the platform despite the fact that you don't like the fee and the fees are better elsewhere, then they are not ripping you off, YOU are making a poor choice of selling venues. THEY are doing exactly what they said they would do.
