Feedback

I recently received a negative feedback from an item delivered over 7 weeks ago. I test all items before listing and again before sending out. This buyer claims the item was broken and junk, never reached out to me, will not respond to my attempts to contact them. Do I have any avenue to go down to have this feedback removed?

You can try to have it removed with the Feedback removal tool

As you know, a buyer has 60 days to leave feedback.  You can try to get it removed; however, eBay quite often will refuse, citing the reason as "this FB expresses the buyer's feelings about the transaction and therefore not eligible for removal".

At this point it is currently unlikely the feedback will be removed by Ebay.  But since you have otherwise good feedback I would not bother doing anything at this juncture.  You can live with one negative feedback.

Try to not feel too bad. I just received a negative because the spray wouldn't come out of the can, just air.

I sold a liquid lipstick to the buyer.

I would love to have feedback removed but I am not sure it is really worth the aggravation.

Buyers have 60 days to leave feedback, and are not required to reach out to you or respond.

You can try to get eBay to remove it, but I do not see any reason why eBay would.

Oh, lawdy - that FB! I'm sorry you got it but it's almost funny, given the product.

@durst63

Both buyers and sellers have 60 days from the purchase to leave feedback if they desire.  I know it can be very unsettling, to say the least, to get a negative feedback.  This one doesn't seem to break any of the rules and is unlikely to be removed by Ebay.

I also don't think it will hurt your sales at all.  Your response was good.  I know it will bother you every time you see it, but unlikely it will have the same effect on potential buyers.
