To anyone who is interested: A few days ago I got this bad rating from a buyer who clearly did not read the product description and then without contacting me and without trying to return the item, without any good intentions, goes to my profile and leaves negative feedback... I have been a seller on eBay for 5 years and have been a Top Seller for quite some time, I decided to request a feedback review from eBay which they denied me 5 times, due, according to them, to the fact that the new policies must ensure that the opinion of buyers is respected, I wrote to the buyer again because this person has not even made the return request, I explained in detail and with photos, the condition in which I sent the item, I sent him the photo of the description where the condition of the item and its original box are very clear and still I did not receive a response from this buyer which shows his bad intentions. I wrote to eBay again so that they know that I did everything they recommended me and that they please intervene with this buyer. The response was again negative from eBay but this time with a kind of blackmail... the representative tells me that if I add the 30-day return policy and that I pay all the costs then eBay will automatically protect me from negative feedback... IF THIS IS NOT BLACKMAIL I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS, forcing me to accept returns in exchange for protection is blackmail in any court in the USA... I will keep that feedback in mind but I am taking notes of all the eBay policies that only protect the buyer and blackmail the seller... What horrible policies! I hope that one day eBay will have real competition that will do justice to sellers like me who do everything possible to give the best service to our buyers and in exchange we receive rejection and bad treatment from eBay. In addition, eBay wants sellers to beg the buyer so that if one day they find their heart to please delete my feedback... this is unfair... Thank you very much eBay for applauding the liars... BRAVO!!

I wouldn't call it black mail. Ebay is trying to incentivise sellers to offer free returns like most other retailers these days. Buyers expect to be able to return items these days.
I have offered FREE 30 day returns since the beginning regardless of reason . I didn't do it because of feedback removal. I did it because I want my buyers to be totally satisfied and come back. About 1/3rd of my buyers currently are repeat customers. Also, by offering free 30 day returns I avoid the buyer who file false INAD returns because they don't want to pay for a return. Yes I do get returns but its a cost of selling online is the way I look at it. I don't take it personally its business.
I personally will not buy anything from a seller who does not accept free returns and I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this.

I hope your buyer gets your reply removed. You shamed the buyer by posting her full name in your reply. That's a huge no-no and even "anonymous" ebay IDs aren't allowed, which is why buyers' IDs are anonymized.
Additionally, your listing uses stolen stock images with NOTHING in the item specifics or the listing describing the accurate condition of the packaging. (Without picture(s) showing "box with damages," the buyer had no way to evaluated whether the item was accurately described.)
Also, your item specifics have the item as "new (other)" but the description says "Like new."

Buyers do not have to contact you OR request a return before leaving FB of any kind.
You should read the eBay MBG so you know what you are dealing with and the policy on FB removal.

Maybe you should ditch the stock photos and take photos of the items they are buying.
Any damage should be mentioned in the beginning of the description and not at the bottom.

Not agree with your opinion but I respet it. Thanks!!

Excuse me, go back and look at all my photos and you will see that I do have real photos of the condition of the item. You did the same as my buyer... and in the description it is clearly written item like new which is true and the box has damages which is true. And as for the name of the person, eBay is not bothered by that because they did not delete my comment either... Thank you for your wrong opinion...

What opinion can I expect from eBay Mentor? Obviously you will not agree with me. Have a nice day.

I don't know who told you that you are protected from negative feedback if you have a 30 day return policy because it is pure baloney. I have a no returns policy and had quite a few negatives as well as neutral feedbacks removed.
However, Your reply is very wrong and a violation which does qualify for removal.
You should consider not replying to feedback if you can't be professional.

Thank you for your opinion, but eBay forces us to accept returns no matter what, it doesn't matter if we wanted or not. My intention with this comment is for eBay to consider that not all buyer feedback should be treated equally, there are some feedbacks with such bad intentions that eBay should consider evaluating them separately... that's all. Thank you.

"Free" returns at retailers are diminishing due to buyer abuse and too much shrinkage.

Why not???

Offering 30 day Free Returns will only protect you from neg FB if the buyer actually returns the item.
Part of the buyer's feedback said the item "is not working properly." They may have thought your "no returns" policy meant they couldn't return it, which isn't the case when an item isn't working.

I've looked at the listed several times and there is NO picture of the damaged packaging. There are 7 stock images (that tell us merely what the item looks like, but not the actual item) and 5 of your own pictures. Again, none show the full box allowing the buyer to evaluate the condition.
"Condition" is subjective and buyers' opinions on acceptability vary. Compare damage to damage:
"And as for the name of the person, eBay is not bothered by that because they did not delete my comment either"
Ebay didn't remove it because it wasn't reported. If the buyer reports it, it WILL be removed. And frankly, your reply reflects worse on you than on the buyer!
