To anyone who is interested: A few days ago I got this bad rating from a buyer who clearly did not read the product description and then without contacting me and without trying to return the item, without any good intentions, goes to my profile and leaves negative feedback... I have been a seller on eBay for 5 years and have been a Top Seller for quite some time, I decided to request a feedback review from eBay which they denied me 5 times, due, according to them, to the fact that the new policies must ensure that the opinion of buyers is respected, I wrote to the buyer again because this person has not even made the return request, I explained in detail and with photos, the condition in which I sent the item, I sent him the photo of the description where the condition of the item and its original box are very clear and still I did not receive a response from this buyer which shows his bad intentions. I wrote to eBay again so that they know that I did everything they recommended me and that they please intervene with this buyer. The response was again negative from eBay but this time with a kind of blackmail... the representative tells me that if I add the 30-day return policy and that I pay all the costs then eBay will automatically protect me from negative feedback... IF THIS IS NOT BLACKMAIL I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS, forcing me to accept returns in exchange for protection is blackmail in any court in the USA... I will keep that feedback in mind but I am taking notes of all the eBay policies that only protect the buyer and blackmail the seller... What horrible policies! I hope that one day eBay will have real competition that will do justice to sellers like me who do everything possible to give the best service to our buyers and in exchange we receive rejection and bad treatment from eBay. In addition, eBay wants sellers to beg the buyer so that if one day they find their heart to please delete my feedback... this is unfair... Thank you very much eBay for applauding the liars... BRAVO!!Screenshot_20250310_122234_Gmail.jpg

Correct, the item was tested before shipping and I sent that evidence to the buyer by private message which he never responded to... in fact I have not had any communication with this person. I do accept all returns when they request it and when they contact me I have no problems and I accept them, why not? But this person had no communication with me not even when I tried to contact her which was before responding to her feedback. This person is simply lying and only wanted to do damage... buyers know that eBay protects their purchases, if they have any problem they contact eBay customer service and that's it, they force me to accept the return, it's simple... that's why my displeasure, because she did not want the communication, and neither did she want to return the item that does work and that was detailed in the description and the real photos that are in my ad if you take the time to see it until the end

Hi @Anonymous

Your defensive and buyer-shaming replies to negative/ neutral feedback don’t do what a Reply is designed to do … reassure future buyers that you are a safe seller to buy from.

If you feel the need to insult the buyers who leave you bad feedback … then that’s best done in private messages.  Let your public communication reflect the calm, professional image that most sellers desire to project.  [Just a suggestion.]

Hello, I appreciate your suggestion. Please tell me in what part of my response to the feedback did I make it clear that no one can trust me? I am a good person and I have always been and will always be a seller who is attentive to my customers. My response to the feedback was after several attempts to communicate with this person, so I decided to defend myself publicly so that other buyers know that I am honest. I think that was it. If you see it differently, well, I'm sorry. But my intention was very clear and I sincerely hope that you never have to live through something as unfair as what happened to me. Thank you for your opinion, although I do not agree, but I respect it!

In addition to posting the buyer's name in your reply, you also said this: "I WROTE IT in the description that clearly you did not read or do not know the language" .

Are you inferring that the buyer is "foreign" because of her name?

The buyer and I are from the same country. I don't see anything wrong with my comment. I've had buyers from Germany who don't understand the language and we had ask help from eBay customer service so that person could understand in  their language and feel comfortable with their purchase. If I wrote that it's because I have experience with other buyers who speak other languages... again you're not seeing when I wrote it so you don't know with what intention I did it, that's called prejudice.

@Anonymous

Your replies reek with condescension.  If you cannot perceive that yourself … then I recommend you ask some trusted friends or relatives for their opinion.

You are NOT projecting a ‘trustworthy’ image.  [Your replies actually say nothing about your trustworthiness either way.]  The issue is that you are coming across as someone most people would prefer not to encounter in life.  If that is not your intention … then all the more to seek the opinions of unbiased others.

I am not at all disputing that the feedback may have been unfair.  [I have no way of knowing.]  If it was unfair … then all the more important to project a professional image to counteract the criticism.

[I’ve been volunteering in the eBay Community for nearly 20 years.  An OP-seller’s reply to a neg was once so well written that it inspired me to purchase from them while I was merely addressing an issue.]

BTW, your mention of possible damage to boxes was a general  statement … not related to the

item in question.  Also, it was placed waaaaay down the screen, following a lot of extraneous information.  I doubt most buyers would see it.  JMHO

You keep being prejudiced haha, anyway you agreed with me, the buyer's opinion is wrong. And my description had everything that the buyer needed to know written on it. Besides, I always write, FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME ANYTIME, if the buyer had questions or wanted to see more photos I would have gladly sent them to her if she had asked me. My description is fine and it's the same thing I write in all my ads here on eBay. And I've never had any problems because buyers buy the item and not the box. Obviously you don't understand my point of view and that's fine. I respect you very much for having a different opinion. But I can't accept that you are prejudiced against me because you don't know me and I don't know you. However, I respect you. Have a nice day.

Why not???

I already told you why not...but for the sake of repeating myself allow me to reiterate......Your replies are extremely unprofessional. If I wanted to make a purchase from you I would immediately change my mind after reading your feedback replies and take my business elsewhere.

Your profile states you are in the U.S. so from your statement, so is the buyer.  Perhaps you did not mean what it sounded like but when I read it, that is how it came across, especially since you made a point of putting the buyer's name in your feedback reply.  And if it came across to me that way, it probably did to others too.  And you call me prejudiced because I commented about what YOU said?  🤣

you did close up on the box trying to cover up the box condition. As well as photo is the very last photo hoping they would not noticed the image nor the condition of box near the bottom of your text. Only to tell buyer too bad you didn't read all the messages.

Most buyers buy with just the photo and either new/used.

Your response is your a reseller boxes are suppose to be damaged? I am a reseller most of my boxes aren't damage if they are I put Damage Box in title or condition of box near top of description or in condition field.

You feel you are wrong but buyer also felt she was wronged as well as the listing was misleading.
