Why Is this allowed that a buyer can purchase my item and immediately ask to cancel. Item was cancelled and now I see that they left me a Neutral feedback with details on an item that was not even purchased from me. They ask to cancel because it was their error but they are still allowed to leave feedback. I guess I should be happy it was not a negative. Just needed to vent. Thanks

Don't see any recent neutral feedback.

Because eBay knows there is no point in forcing a buyer to purchase an item that they do not want.
The buyer would just make up an excuse to claim it is "not as described", and by allowing the buyer to cancel eBay is saving you the cost of postage in both directions.

Same here. I wonder if eBay automatically removed it.

When a buyer requests a cancellation, they are not allowed to post feedback on the seller. Ebay did as they should have done and removed the feedback. If you still see it on your feedback, please let us know.

Because eBay says they can under given situations-

Thank you all for your responses. The neutral is there. Its from Sept 23, 2024. It just took me some time to go ahead and ask this question . Thanks again.

The feedback says the item was returned, not that the order was canceled.

If that is from a canceled order I would try reaching out to the CS reps on Facebook, not the phone reps, and see if they can do anything about it.

The neutral is way too old to get anything done about it. You need to be much faster if you want to try to have feedback removed.

That neutral is too old to be removed.
