Out of my last 20 sales, only 3 of those customers left feedback. I don't put a ton of stock into feedback, but that seems really low to me. The low amount of feedback I do get is great, with really nice reviews and great appreciation for my service. I am just curious as to the low rate. Is this normal for everyone? I try to run as professional a service as I can. My items are packaged well. Bubble wrapped if needed. Surrounded by shipping paper to prevent movement. Boxes are nicely taped and labeled with an 'ebay' sticker and 'fragile' sticker if needed. I even send a message to every customer letting them know their order has been received and that it is packaged and will be transferred shortly for shipment, and I even send them a picture of their item packaged. I have never been one to ASK for feedback. I always let my service dictate that. But the lack of feedback by customers got so bad a couple months ago I even contacted ebay about it. I think I went 18 orders with one feedback at that time. I am grateful for what I do get. And the few that do say something really have nice things to say. It just seems to be an extremely low rate. I have left feedback for every single purchaser since I started ebay. Is this what I should expect from ebay customers from here on out?

Just curious here, but how many places do shop where they ask for feedback or fill out a survey or write a few words about your 'experience'? I get it at the post office, at the office supply, at the hardware store, on the phone from the medical supply, etc, etc. Perhaps people just get tired of being expected to supply the data so that others might profit, and hone their abilities to profit more. So, even when it isn't for-profit, some of us figure, why bother, if we even think about it.

Feedback rate from buyer to seller really isn't all that high. I probably average out at around 10-20% of sales with any kind of feedback (yours is 15%). I like the acknowledgements and stuff, but the thing to remember is that no news usually is very good news and kind of move on to whatever else you got going.

This is perfectly normal, don't worry about it. No news is good news.

That equates to about 15% which is probably good these days. My buyer feedback has gradually shrunk over the last 4-5 years. While I always provide buyer feedback it is pretty insignificant in the big picture of things since all I can leave is positive feedback. As others noted the system either needs reworked or eliminated it does not mean much these days.
