Hello , I am new to this forum, pardon me if this is in the wrong catagory. I have a quick question.
I have used all 5 of my feedback revisions for this year (mostly on silly neutral remarks, a few on "accidental" negatives left by "good, happy buyers")
The last revision we agreed (me and the buyer) that he would change his nasty negative to a neutral or a positve (his choice).
In all honesty, he cannot communicate english very well, I sometimes cannot even understand him fully. He bought one of my items and then had it forwarded to another shipping company in which they shipped the item to his home country... (which in my opinion is not so great for me and I was unaware of this.) I sent him the request for revision, he now is saying "send it again, its not working" !?!?!
As stated, this was my last out of five, I do not even know where to begin to help him or explain to him how to go through the process because I've never had to do it and am not sure how buyers are notified on their screens/ dashboards.
Does anyone out there have any advice?
Thanks

What was his complaint? You have some leverage to get FB removed by ebay if its re-shipped.

Maybe call eBay and explain it's your last feedback revision request and the buyer is not fluent in English. They can read the messages between you and will see that the request, by what he says, is not working for him.
Maybe they will remove it on that basis for you.
Your call, though, good luck.

Here is his review:
"0 stars, awfull quality,....do no buy, very disapointed"
Here is his note to me:
"Your foto is not the same, quality is awfull, i lost my time which is much expansive that your plate. I do no whant that persons like me Will be fraud of you by this cheap shirt"
He is based in the Dominican Republic. He had it shipped to a shipping store in Miami Florida, I am guessing they repackaged it and sent it to him. Who knows what they did with it, or what he even received...
I talked things out with him and told him I would refund his money, I asked him to reconsider his reivew, I think that may be a "no no" on ebay? I am really just ready to chalk it up. He agreed to change the feedback but I guess he cannot figure out how to or something. I have read lots of posts where if you get ebay involved, you will end up getting punished for one reason or another. I think maybe my best option may jusy be to forget about it and move on.
Thanks

Did you give in to an extortion attempt in exchange for a revision?

This sounds like the same guy that gave me a negative because I didn't give in to his extortion attempt, I was mistaken in calling it Doral it is Miami, I called 3 different eBay reps they didn't care, it's clear it isn't the same account but it is the same story same locations Miami and Dominican Republic wow.

No, It was me who offered a refund, it was me who contacted him and tried to find out what exactly was the problem, He did not even message me or contact me, He only left negative feedback.
In truth, I think he was more upset with the extra shipping charges compounded by not liking the plate... If that is true, I feel that is not fair to me as a seller. Seeing how the ONLY way I ship out of country is through Ebays global shipping program. No seller would give any thought to shipping to another state, but if I am shipping to Miami, and the address I googled is a shipping company address, and his ebay account says he is located in DR, its clear to me he orchestrated the whole international shipping with that company.
Thanks

In all honesty, I have alot of open returns, these buyers make up some pretty wild "not as described" claims, I mean outrageous.... In the begining I kept giving in to them, but its pretty clear to me some "buyers" know how the system works and just like getting "free stuff" so I made it harder for them to get something for free... The new thing now is these buyers do not respond and ride out the return time... I am not sure how that all works either but I am sure its not good for sellers....

I believe that you are right about that being a "no no" so to confirm this, I looked it up.
eBay says:
Sellers:
The seller can't require a buyer to leave positive Feedback, specific detailed seller ratings, or revise existing Feedback in exchange for a number of things, including, but not limited to:
Receiving the purchased item
Issuing a full or partial refund
Monetary compensation
Additional items
Other goods and services not included in the original listing
If a buyer contacts a seller with a problem, the seller should make every effort to resolve the issue. Once the transaction is concluded, a seller may ask the buyer to leave positive Feedback or high detailed seller ratings, or request a revision of previous negative or neutral Feedback.
Make sure you follow these guidelines. If you don't, you may be subject to a range of actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

Now I know you were not "requiring" him, but just offering may seem to imply that.
Sorry this happened to you.

I'm convinced this is a major scammer with multiple accounts, the same details of guy who gave me a negative in Miami forwarding company to Dominican Republic , the same story of all the people he gave negatives to, I contacted all users he gave negatives to the same story they didn't give in to his extortion attempts so he slapped them with a negative.

Thank you for that information. I think I will leave it to rest and move on.
Thank you everyone for replying and your help.

I would urge you to call eBay and report this buyer, it may not do much good but this stuff needs to be documented.

I think there is a report this buyer link when you try to leave feedback.
If you use it, and the other sellers that you said he left negative feedback for use it also, then call eBay, possibly there would be consequences for this behavior.
Good luck.

The OP didn't say there were other sellers that were left negative feedback. Why should the buyer be reported? What did the buyer do other than not like the item?

The buyer did nothing, but they did have the item shipped to a shipping center and then reshipped (re-packaged?) and sent out of country. Maybe even that is not horrible, though ebay offers global shipping, what made things worse I believe is his lack of english, and my lack of understanding his english.
I will not be reporting him, and I will just let this be. He was ready to change his feedback, he just doesnt know how.
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
