I recently had a buyer purchase a lot of UNO cards. The transaction went perfectly fine for the most part. However, when leaving feedback the buyer accidently left less than a five star rating for shipping and handling charges, which has dropped it to 4.9 stars. They were very apologetic in the message they sent and they even looked into how to revise it. My research shows that I can send a request, but it shows that none of my feedback is eligible for a revision.
The rating and comment was positive, and every other star rating is five stars. Is there any other way to get a revision request sent, or is it even worth it?

you have them revise it by calling costemer care team. 4.9 stars its still not bad be honest with you. I just leave it be and go to the next item.

I would send this good polite paying customer a message to not worry about it one little bit but thanks for letting me know how happy they were with the purchase.
You can't send a revision on a positive feedback, and I sure wouldn't ask my customer to take time out of their day calling ebay about this.

Positive feedback can't be revised.
4.9 is still good, don't worry about it.

I feel for you because I can relate.
I had 2 different buyers leave low star ratings by mistake recently.
I had a message saying this, but ebay will do nothing about anyway.
It stinks, but that's how it is, very unfair

I know in the long run this is pretty insinificant, I simply wanted to know if it was at all possible to change. This is the first non-five star rating I have received since I returned to selling on eBay in July 2016, so it was bound to happen one way or another.

I do not think positive feedback can be changed and I also do not think star rating can be changed at all? I have never heard of the star ratings being able to be changes but I guess it is possible?
Just a bit of advice. Selling online will almost never result in perfection for an entire career and as a seller you would be better to understand this now so moving forward these kinds of events will not hinder your thought process and actions moving forward.
eBay the marketplace understands this and has made changes in that feedback does not even play into the sellers rating standards any longer. Feedback is not that important any longer and I will also say star ratings are even less important.
The reason why feedback plays very little role any longer is because eBay now has a money back guarantee which assures buyers they will get what is advertised or they will get there money back, even if eBay has to pay the money back themselves because the seller did nothing wrong.
This gives buyers all the confidence in shopping without worry about the sellers creditability, which has always been an issue for online marketplaces and the buyer confidence with the seller base.
I would go a step further and say that eBay, it's sellers and the buyer base would all benefit if eBay told buyers more about there vetting process with its seller base, and buyers knew the strict standards eBay places on sellers. I think buyers would respond better about shopping on eBay, and the stigma about ebay being a safe place to shop will improve.
If eBay did something like this I hope they would also share with buyers that they are not immune to restriction when they also do not operate within the website terms of use.
Good Luck Selling!

"... or is it even worth it?"
No.

Star ratings can be removed if the enitre feedback entry is removed.

I came here to complain to ebay about their new page for leaving feedback.
I just left a seller 1 star when I meant to leave 5 stars BECAUSE EBAY'S PAGE WITH THE STARS IS NOT LABELED WELL. Its so easy as a buyer to click that first star when the 5 star rating is the last star...gowd how dumb of ebay to make a feedback page like this!!!
EBAY: LABEL THE STARS ON THE FEEDBACK PAGE. PUT NUMBERS ON THE STARS AND ALSO PUT THE WORDS "LOWEST" TO "HIGHEST"

Same thing happened to me. Selected positive feedback to a seller, left positive comment. The stars weren't labeled on my screen. I guess I was distracted, and selected the star on the left side instead of the right side. Clicked the "submit" button and realized my mistake, but too late.
Can't change positive feedback from the website, and I'm not even sure if star ratings can be revised for any type of feedback. Called customer service, they said to ignore it because the stars don't "affect performance" of the seller. What's the point of the stars if it doesn't have an effect? After a little more reading, if requesting a supervisor on the phone, they might sometimes help you delete the positive feedback with the wrong rating, but likely not. Maybe just have to move on.
