Did you mean:

Feed back

What's the best way to handle , a negative feed back?Buyer did not contact me first and chose to just do negative feedback on a defective item, I do offer returns and have no other disputes.Seems like eBay wants to do the hands off approach, this was the buyers first purchase ...ever.I always stand behind my products if something is wrong I will refund.I had 100% for years.

Re: Feed back

Generally you have to be very nice. It hurts at times to do so because you are probably angry.

Something like this:

We are so sorry that the ______ did not meet your satisfaction. We do wish you would have contacted us to resolve. Please return the item for a full refund. We strive to excel at our service and we are so sorry to let you down.

Re: Feed back

You can always contact your buyer if you want to work something out.  I wouldn't dwell on them not contacting you first, since that isn't a requirement.  I'm not sure what you mean by ebay having a hands off approach.  That's usually a good thing.

There is no eBay policy that removes negative feedback just because the seller does not like it.

What would you expect eBay to do?

I looked at your reply....it is EXCELLENT and would reassure any prospective buyer that you will take care of any issue that might occur.

You need to think of it this way, you got a neg but you also got to keep your money. If they had asked for a refund you would have lost the money and they might have given you a neg anyway.

Re: Feed back

No much can be done...you can contact buyer to try to reverse feedback...you have 30 days to do that.

And ask buyer what can be done to reverse the feedback. But looking as the buyer has no feedback I doubt anything will help.

Keep selling and that feedback will get disappeared in positive feedbacks.

Re: Feed back

Your response turned it into a positive.

Shake it off as it will fall off the 1st page in a month or so.

I don't see it. Did it get removed?

We must be in the cheap seats. I don't see it, either.

Re: Feed back

Looks that way. Gone with the wind.

Hey @fishmorestore  did you request removal or did Ebay do it automatically or something like that?
