Hello, I sell primarily computer electronics on the platform and as such, SNAD returns are relatively high. I refurbish the majority of these parts, and all are tested for functionality yet I still get plenty of returns claiming the products don't work properly. 99% of the time (when someone isn't just trying to steal the product) it's working perfectly fine but there was just some issue with install, software, compatibility, or some odd issue that caused it not to work well for the buyer. I don't have any issue taking these returns and I'm not trying to blame or negatively view the buyers as I've been there myself plenty of times and it's certainly frustrating. The issue I have is that eBay counts these returns negatively against your account. I'm not nearly at the level that it will start increasing fees however I'm sure there are plenty of smaller or lower volume sellers who may get an unfortunate wave of these such returns and be stuck in a situation where their listings rarely show and they pay a lot more in fees. There is the option to report the transaction claiming that the buyer falsely used the returns system however, as stated, I'm not trying to go after the buyer as it's not really something to blame them for. It's no one's fault, including my own. Does anyone know of a way to remove or reduce SNAD returns for products that have no issues when returned?

Yes, this is a severe issue.
I just got a SNAD return requested by a harden thief sending back other seller's battery and kept our good one.
And this harden thief even Neg me.
eBay is now looking into this.
I can tell this clown is coming from those sh*t h@le countries to sabotage our system and plunder our resources.
These buyer Scams are severe, and buyer scams are the majority of online shopping scams. Not sellers.
eBay should stop punish sellers on these fake SNAD returns and stop shovel sellers' ranking by this ridiculous measurement.

Sorry, but to be blunt, there is no way to prevent this.

Agree, no way to stop this, so it should not be used as a measurement to shovel sellers' ranking.
And BTW, eBay just informed me I won the case ....
