False Advertising

FreeShipping.PNG

One stands agape and in awe at how a gigantic company like Ebay can make an effort to report their own incompetency, so difficult ! One wonders why...?

The image shown makes one claim and then makes a separate and completely opposing claim in the next line while NO ONE, even all those bots floating about did not bother to pick this up ?

Does one, now not trust anyone here ?

Re: False Advertising

Unfortunately you are in a different country (AU) than the Seller (US) ...

The 'Free' Shipping was for the Seller's US Buyers ..

Shipping across the Pacific (or anywhere internationally for that matter) can be quite expensive - even for lighter items.

Re: False Advertising

We do free shipping at work, unless you live out of country.  eBay requests/requires tracking on international shipments -- you don't get that with First Class International, only with Priority or Express Mail International.  It's not the tracking in the States that eBay's looking at - it's the tracking in the destination country, which apparently doesn't happen with First Class.

So we list everything as Free Shipping for domestic delivery (including US Territories and US Military), and set international to Calculated USPS Priority Mail International.

I am concerned that this is not a authentic post.

Re: False Advertising

The individual seller makes the listing and it looks like that free shipping line might be in their subtitle. It may not have occured to the seller that it will appear that way to international sellers.

Personally , I always check my own items to see what buyers from different locations will see (just change the country and postal code in the shipping tab to see.)
