Something has to give, I really think eBay needs to switch to a non cancellation, auto pay policy. Sellers put in too much work, do too much typing, to receive a cancellation because someone didn't read the description. I understand if a refund is in order, but when you bid you buy simple.

Let me guess. It is one of your cards that is not really a card?

I disagree, I would rather cancel an order rather than, ship it and return it. If there is a problem in the beginning, just cancel and move on.

1. I believe your return policy is easily trumped by eBay's Money Back Guarantee.and in certain situations the buyer can keep the item and but gets a full refund. Not certain how one would return a digital item.
2. eBay does have an immediate payment required option you can select when you set up your listings. Been around a while and is beneficial for fixed price listing. Time zone difference make it difficult to set up on auctions. I used to win auctions while I was sleeping. Most buyers , like me, would never set up an auto withdrawal from a cc/debit card purchase on a selling site..
3. Yep, all sellers put time and effort in to posting up their listing - they are paid out of their profit proceeds. Never sold anything that I didn't make a decent profit margin by my standards which I set quit high.when I was selling on eBay. As a rule of thumb I used for every one dollar of acquisition cost of an item I would sell for 5 to 6 times + my ship & handling and if the market price says I could sell it for more I certainly would. Never played with the auction listings - I primarily sold high end preowned items that were in really good or better condition and never exaggerated the condition usually unstated. Hit some home runs periodically. Returns/refunds not so many - 5 out of 1665 shipments. - nice batting average me thinks.

The title of your message is "Fake eBay account". Yet your issue is a buyer who either did not pay or cancelled. Where was the fake account?

So you would rather have a return and be out of shipping costs, both ways? Ok.
