If you’re going to prohibits people from selling these items then make sure you stop everyone. I agree it’s downright disgusting to see ridiculous price gouging on crucial necessities that are unavailable to many. If someone is listing a package of antibacterial wipes and a starting bid of $.99 there shouldn’t be a problem. To remove a fair listing but then allow people to sell two packages of paper towels for $40 is Terrible but this is EBAY, SMH

eBay is taking action.

You can help.
Report listings using the "Report item" link found in the listing on the right side of the page.
When reporting the listing, select these options:
1. Prohibited and restricted items
2.Illegal items and items encouraging illegal activity
3.Other illegal activity concerns

I reported 6 listings & there were tons more! They don’t even have the correct category but anyway they don’t and NEVER keep up with removing listings.

Wipes are banned on Ebay and paper towels are not.
Doesn't matter what they price them at, can't sell wipes.
Toilet paper and other items, they are working on removing those items also.

There exist many people who drink and drive every day, it's not fair, these people get behind the wheel of their car after consuming copious amounts of alcohol and they then operate that vehicle on our public highways while intoxicated and many never get caught!
I dare say the chances of being caught drinking and driving are about one in a thousand...
But the few who do get caught I believe makes most of them wish they had never done it.
I believe this situation is very similar, many sellers will never get caught but some will, and I also believe quite a few sellers will see their selling privileges suspended for life. That is a severe punishment I would not wish on even the most egregious violators of policy but some will most likely have to suffer from that and they may wish they had never tried to violate policy in the first place.
Yes, I know many of those sellers don't care.
Selling on ebay is a privilege that those of us who are allowed to sell here have learned to treat with the utmost respect, it is thus I can only keep my side of the street clean. I am not selling COVID-related items because that is not what I normally sell and I chose not to test these waters. I am not stupid, please don't be stupid yourself, I do appreciate those of you who are going through those listings reporting them one by one. Thank you for your efforts, that is a lot of work for what feels like very small reward which is why I can no longer do it and why you people are my heroes.
And I know it is such a thankless proposition, but in conclusion what I have learned many times in this life is to just keep up the good fight and have faith, because it's all we can do.
Thank you

So selling 2 rolls for $10 is better?

So if you hadn't been caught, and your listing not removed, would it still be unfair?

"I believe this situation is very similar"
I understand your points but there is nothing similar.
Drunk drivers kill murder people, 10,000+ people a year, they injure thousands more and the economic impact is tens of billion$ a year.
No comparison at all.
