After several years of never receiving anything other than positive feedback, I've had two bad experiences in the last month. The first one was from a buyer with zero feedback who left a neutral for me stating that the item was smaller than he expected - the measurements were clearly stated in the description. I filed the report asking ebay to remove it since the buyer was incorrect for finding fault when the description was accurate. Ebay would not remove it and denied my appeal. Next a buyer who has purchased quite a few items from me in the past and has always been very pleased, left two negative feedbacks in a row stating that I only gave her a small refund when she returned the items to me. She had not returned any items and I had not issued any refunds to her - all which should be clearly visible to customer service. Again, ebay refused to remove it and denied the appeal. They recommended in both cases that I send a feedback revision request to the buyers, which I did. The zero feedback buyer did not respond at all so the neutral with the false comments stays on my profile. The second buyer said she was really sorry and the feedback was intended for another seller. She did revise it. But what if she hadn't? I would've had two negative feedbacks that had nothing to do with me or what I had sold her. My question is, where is seller protection that ebay claims to provide? And what good does it even do to appeal it if they are going to deny it without even researching the facts?

Well.... it worked. With some effort and time, I was actually able to get ebay (through Facebook as you suggested) to remove the neutral. I pointed out that one of ebay's requirements to remove feedback is when "The buyer is raising an issue that was correctly disclosed in the listing", which was exactly what the buyer had done. I had clearly disclosed the measurements of the item in the listing. There was no reason for him to expect it to be bigger. It wasn't easy to get it removed but it was worth the effort. Thank you for the suggestion and also for cautioning me on being careful with my wording when I reply back to feedback received. I needed to be reminded of that.

This same situation happend to me! Ive been a perfect seller for almost 25 years! Then I got to negative feedbacks, because I am now selling a show breed of Araucana chicken hatching eggs. The first one I could have performed better, the eggs were obliterated by USPS in shipping. I delayed refunding him, because he basically blamed me for the problem.
The second one was just a buyer, trying to extort me for money and said that I wasn't selling the kind of chickens that i've raised for 47 years, He blatently leid about my poultry. And called me BIG HEADED, and that I wouldn't listen to a thing HE had to say! That was a personal comment that was off subject! Then ebay also said that once they decided the case that I was not allowed to remove the feedback or ask for them to look at it again. So my score is now 97.4 feedback rating! When it's been a hundred percent for decades. And my sales have dropped almost to nothing. I felt that I was not represented at all by the Ebay feedback policy. Or even listen to or looked into my other feedbacks for all the eggs I have sent to so many customers that were so happy! I am very sad about how ebay treats sellers, and it's just not what it used to be at all, and I've been there a long time.

So, if it’s a straightforward eBay policy violation, it does work! Boom, done!
@mam98031 Thank you! The comment about someone leaving another neutral and it adding up made me rethink and try it. Now I won't ignore these silly unjustified neutrals again. 😍
Anyway, advice very much appreciated!

I use the same personal policy in regards to defects too. While Customer Service doesn't take too seriously getting a late shipment defect removed when the account is otherwise in great shape, I do. Those pesky defects stick around for an entire year. They don't know and I certainly don't know what the next 12 months will hold for me.
Sometimes Ebay makes a mistake on hitting a seller with a defect of some kind on the Seller Dashboard. I simply reject the average CSR that says it is only one I'll be fine. So I always stay persistent till I got it removed.

Unfortunately the current neutral you have isn't removable because it is simply their opinion. It doesn't break any of the Feedback rules. Your response to the feedback was very good.

I noticed ... you can have a flawless record for years, then all of a sudden, get 2 or 3 negatives in a month.

I'm so confused about the first one. So only after 3 weeks did the buyer finally file a return? And you actually wanted them to send back the broken and rotten eggs? And they still had them? Also how did your damage case with the USPS go? Did they award your claim?

I mean, I did everything I could without driving there and doing it for them. LOL
I figured it wasn't removable, hence the response. Thanks.

As we know, sadly there are some buyer that no matter what you do, you can't make them happy. Thankfully they are in the minority.
