@vtfan7

And who is that?  If they are someone you have a transaction with, they aren't going to reply to you here, unless they know you are here.

Can you elaborate on your issue?

@kh-adrian  is a mod here on the forums, but does not work for eBay.  What exactly do you want from them?  Did they edit your post to remove disallowed content?  Read the rules.

Why are you waiting for a response from them.

They are just one of the moderators here on the boards.

Have a great day.

FAKE/COUNTERFEIT ITEMS FOR SALE

If you want to contact an eBay employee , the moderators here and the phone "reps" are both sub-contracted.

The moderators are pretty good. We rarely see complaints about their actions.

The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.

Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

FAKE/COUNTERFEIT ITEMS FOR SALE

The  issue here is that eBay is allowing sellers to falsely post FAKE/COUNTERFEIT items for sale.  These items are in violation of eBay's Counterfeit Item Policy which states: "We don't allow counterfeit items or unauthorized copies to be listed on eBay."  "Items sold using a brand  name or a brand logo MUST BE original and made by the brand or manufactured on their behalf.  Counterfeit products are ILLEGAL and NOT allowed on eBay.  These items may infringe on someone's copyright or trademark."

The item in question is listed as:  RARE PLASTICVILLE PLAYSET .  NONE of the 8 items shown were ever made by the trademark name of Plasticville.

I have reported dozens of Fake/Counterfeit items and the same reply comes back from eBay: "We investigated your report and DID NOT FIND THE ITEM TO BE IN VIOLATION OF EBAY'S POLICY".

At the very least, eBay should have contacted the seller to inform them that they need to remove the Trademark name of Plasticville from the listing and if the real maker cannot be identified, then the items should be listed as "UNBRANDED".  IF EBAY HAS A POLICY, THEN THEY NEED TO ENFORCE THE POLICY.  Gator08041971, does this help to explain my issue?

Thanks!

Thank you for your information.  I have called eBay twice and got thru to a real person, not an AI, but they hung up on me.   I don't do Instagram and I was hacked on Facebook and my whole page was stolen.  I can no longer login to Facebook, even thought my profile photo is still there.  I will try your suggestion.  Thank you for taking the time to provide helpful information.  I appreciate it!

Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens all the time.  eBay is not the authentication police on every item that gets listed.

There are some items in certain categories where authentification of a product is required and indeed they even have a service to verify the authenticity of an item (hand bags for example).

But they aren't going to police everything.

For all they know, you are a seller that doesn't like another seller and want to take them down to prevent competition.  Its that simple.

Now if the brand owner steps in and files a complaint, that will force an action, but even then its hit or miss.

I got hit with this one time, when I was selling new HP laser cartridges. I had mistakenly used their stock photo.  I had to replace them with my own pictures, but they stepped in and closed my listing over it and gave me a warning.   So it does happen.

All you can do is report the items you decide are fake but if the outcome is the items, you are reporting are not fakes nothing else you can do if eBay decides the item is not in violation, then the seller gets to list and sell it

no matter what you think or believe

Since you just happen to sell the same items, how does Ebay know you're not just a seller trying to cut down the competition by trying to get the other items removed?

Have a great day.

I collect toys and many toy lines have similar type of items made by a different brand.  I would imagine this is more of a you issue than to most collectors.  Like imagine sitting around getting angry about an eBay listing. If I was that seller I would also ignore the weird requests to change my listing from you. Are you Plasticville? Do you own the trademark? or are you just being a salty boomer right now? if the title said "like plasticville" would you complain? If the title said "plasticville?" would you complain. I don't think they are selling fake or counterfeit merchandise I think they may think it's plasticville or google lense showed them plasticville. seems like a good time to simmer down now. ebay has no problem the seller has no problem you are the guy with the problem. it's not a big deal.

No offense to kh-adrian, but why would you be waiting for a reply from him/her?

He/she has absolutely nothing to do with your complaint.
