You are going to waste sellers time adjusting their spreadsheets to a new download and it still FAILS FAILS FAILS to address the most ridiculous OMISSION from the old report. Few people have a major problem with extra columns they don't use, but missing data is extremely problematic.

WHY is ACTUAL SHIPPING COST not included?

There was some update to be able to add it to the HUB but it still wasn't in the download. The point is, I use EBAY shipping, so they know EXACTLY the shipping cost, yet MUST manually add my shipping cost each month to the Report for the 200+ items I sell so I have accurate accounting. I don't need S&H, Insurance, Tax ebay collected, etc. Just the total but I can deal with the extra data.

You are adding a column to tell me if its a promoted listing....gee THANKS but how about what that cost me so I don't have to review another report and try to determine if the extra cost is worthwhile.....while we're at it why not share what the FVF was so I don't have to calculate it which is a hassle because its different depending on the category. Don't you think sellers like to calculate profit to ensure they are making money. I can get within 0.5% with a single formula for paypal, but ebay items range 5+ percentage points.

In case you missed the point...CRUCIAL FIELDS - Total Price, Ship Cost, FVF, Ad (Promoted) Fee - then Buyer and Item Details.

Hopefully with a NEW order id field you'll stop changing the sales record number when a buyer combines item after purchase. NO ONE else EVER changes the SALES ID once issued as its often a PRIMARY Key. BUy ebay does. they also will use it on multiple items if combined. GENUIS IT IS NOT.

And profession business operations prepare their people with LAUNCH dates. How about a date you will implement the new report, while leaving the old report so we can update our Spreadsheets, Databases, etc. That's good business. I doubt we'll get a launch date and they'd probably miss it also.

Why can't you actually discuss these things with actual business people in and OUT of ebay to make sure your changes make sense. Just another disappointment in what is ebay management. YOU SUCK!

Lets just list some things a professional developed site would include in their download code if they had talented project managers instead of sloppy developers winging it.

Export Options
1. Download only NEW records
  1. Don't force me to select records manually from either a certain time period or one at a time to get new records. Allow me an option to ONLY download NEW records. I'll elaborate for the inept staff who will never see this. Flag downloaded records so I only get records I haven't downloaded. WOW that's smart. Not only does it save the user time, it save bandwidth and load on the db and server as only necessary data is downloaded
2. Selection of download fields - even paypal has this. Let the user select which fields they wish to download AND STORE these selections. Again it saves bandwidth and load as a user may only want HALF the fields from the those available. Oh, this means it would also speed up other areas of the site when this data was not queried and downloaded. This is again a win win but who are we kidding. This would NOT happen here. Anyone that has used the download knows that it can run slow when more than a few records are selected.
3. Even better create a queue - build me a download during off peak hours that I can quickly grab when I need.

if you have selling manager pro or can get it, it has a column for actual shipping costs, and you can download a report with it............ It's the only place I've ever been able to find it for a download, I've griped to ebay people for YEARS about this........... I think it's because Paypal had so much info and then after the split no ones knows anything about what info is really needed by sellers or cares.........

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately that only allows a search by type, rather than the ability to grab all orders. If it at least allowed a search by sales record it might allow for a 'join' thru some ms tool. It requires a search by type such as item title, id, etc.

This post pertains to the announcement of the updated seller hub report which i use and have requested shipping cost. Because they push free shipping and offer a shipping and handling column i get $0 for 90% of my sales. Just the rare item with paid shipping and foreign orders. In both cases that amount is captured in the total cost so it has limited value. They added some odd tool to update shipping cost for each item which is stupid and not needed, but it still doesn't show in the download after being performed.

Just sick of poorly though out updates and features not working. I'd be glad to design their pages for them. I could easily improve most of them without the need for more than minutes in a developers time to complete the changes. They just need consistency in names, layouts, searches, etc. I'm not doing it for free though so unless they pay me.....................
