I posted on this a few days ago. Package mailed to buyer, it was “Returned to Sender, Undeliverable”, but buyer has no idea why as she was home and address was correct. Tracking shows package then came to my home post office, 6 blocks from my house, then went back to Portland, then came back to my town where it shows “Delivered”. Except it was NOT delivered. My local PO is puzzled, saying tracking device used to show “Delivered” is not their tracking devise. Ever heard that one? They are trying to find it. I’m assuming the package is lost. I want to refund the buyer her purchase price, but not the shipping. When I try to cancel as problem with buyers address, I must refund shipping also. Ideas? Should I refund shipping?

Why the F/U in the title????

Because this is a follow up post, I originally posted about this a few days ago.

lol.........sorry, I misinterpreted the F/U

If it was intended as an expletive there would be no / between the letters. F/U with the slash between the letters is common business shorthand for "follow up."

You could have simply posted in your original post to keep it all in one thread so posters don't have to bounce back and forth to read up on the whole story.
Long story short, it seems someone at the post office may have scanned the package incorrectly. There's no way a scanner other than a USPS scanner would generate tracking information that is provided by USPS as shown in your screenshots.
Sorry but I don't buy what your PO clerk said.

🤣 No, My New Year’s Resolution was to try to stop using that “F” word!

Hi @kath.layn . Work with the PO to see if they can locate the package. File a formal package inquiry.
This is my standard advice for RTS (returned to sender) packages. Take the parts that are relevant to your situation.

You have a few options. You should decide which route you'll be taking and communicate with the buyer, but wait until the item is returned (and delivered) to you before you take any of the following actions.

Sorry again........I didn't know there were rules about using an expletive.......

I don't know about rules for using an expletive, just that the rule to distinguish it as a non-expletive is to add a slash. 🤷
No need to apologize. It's new knowledge for you so that's a good thing, right?

I had the exact same problem and my package, although sent to Virginia, went to California, Hawaii, Arizona and Kansas City (5 times). It took 2 months to get back to me and I had to call eBay twice to get extensions because they don't check on anything. I sent a refund yesterday after I got it back and did NOT include the postage. It shouldn't be my fault the post office sucks but this is eBay and we will see what happens in the coming days.
