How are you going to deal with the epic winter storm that is supposed to spread across 30-40 States starting tomorrow? I imagine too many will see a large impact on sales? They figure 235 million will be affected by it. We are supposed to get our dose of it, In Ontario on Sunday. Only 8 ins. here. However, MANY days of windchill making it feel before -3F during the day & -14F at night.

If I am stuck inside due to the storm, and we are going to get it, I will be looking on eBay. If I am lucky enough to have power that is.

I am concerned about our pipes though our low temps won't touch those in Canada and the midwest. We've had a break before. We are running water and hoping for the best. Husband decided to fill a bunch of large containers with water in case we have to turn ours' off.
But aside from that and (heaven forbid) power outages the atrocious streets will be the big problem around here. Even when it snows and immediately gets mild the streets are bad for days. I guess we can only hope they will be smooth, if slippery, and not full of ruts.
My son is a supermarket baker and expected to show up at 4. He's never called out but I told him he WILL tomorrow. Maybe they'll let him work later in the day MOnday. I may drive him but I'm probably not much better.

In Ontario (Southern that is) it won't be quite as bad as the midwest and the prairies in Canada.
I talked to my dad in Ottawa (Eastern Ontario) last night and he said -29C with it feeling like -40C (or -40F).
My partner said he got some of his pipes working again but still no hot water in the bathroom. It's a newly renovated building with a bad design to have pipes too close to the outside walls. When they get 10 below freezing that's when problems happen.
Stay safe tomorrow.

If it is just snow it would be fine. But the sleet and freezing rain mix makes it tough. That makes shoveling and everything harder.

so looking forward to exercise in the fresh air...

Saturday was pretty good on MP. I had 3 pick ups. Sold 7 items. 3 others contacted me about purchases. The morning will be ok here, so I'm hopeful there will be more before the roads get nasty. I have not heard much about the storm in the States. Hear few details. I'm sure there will be plenty to check out on YT.

Hey fellow Canadian! Stay safe and warm. Too cold to go skiing or skating. And, listen to your Dad ... sounds like he's 'been there'.

This is one of the few times I don't mind living in Florida. Hope everyone stays safe!

Guess I won't be mailing anything today with over a foot of snow on the driveway and the snow plow just came by and added another foot at the end. Hope eBay will take these things into account like they used to do and not hurt my account because of it. BUT I guess we are just at the mercy of this brilliant company!

Im just below Erie Pa and we get lake effect snow so its always snowy here. The cold however makes it 10times worse and cars don't start, ice don't melt, roads stay covered etc.. I do my best but people need to understand this stuff when they order so far no one has been hard to deal with this season.

The most important factor in all of this is that everyone stays safe!

Toronto got something like 51 cm (almost 2 feet), but where I live a couple of hours away I think we might have seen 6-8 inches. We went out three times to shovel between 2pm Sunday and 8am this morning and it wasn't too bad each time.
The major roads have been cleaned up a bit that you can drive on them (still covered in ice though), and I live on a Priority 2 road because it's a hill, so my street gets cleared after they're done the main roads (and the snow has stopped).

Welp, I have to rescind my prior response because after I wrote it my throat started to get scratchy on the 23rd. The next morning I woke up with full on RSV, thanks to my great grandson, so I had to put the store on vacation mode. As my nan used to say man proposes, God disposes, but he sure didn't do it with the snow! We got 12" here in Staten Island. Not bad but slow going for the postal people today as much of NYC shovels out.
I hope that you all didn't get hit too bad!
