I purchased some Mary Kay Foundation at a church sale. Based on what I've read on google I think it is expired. I see where other sellers are selling expired foundation but I don't want to break any rules and get in trouble. I just restarted selling again on ebay. Thanks for any help or guidance.

I would'nt put expired make up on my face. I would'nt sell it either. Just because others are selling it doesn't mean it's ok.

No, expired makeup, creams and other items can go rancid. Best to you.

In the Cosmetics policy, eBay does not allow used makeup products to be sold here, and says nothing about expired cosmetics. Except for food products, i could find no clear verbiage in the policies discussing expiration dates. However, eBay does require sellers to follow all applicable laws and regulations, the FDA included.
Currently there are no U.S. laws or regulations that require cosmetics to have specific shelf lives, or have expiration dates on their labels. However, manufacturers are responsible for making sure their products are safe. The FDA considers determining a product's shelf life to be part of the manufacturer's responsibility, so it’s in the manufacturer’s best interests to avoid selling items that may be ‘going bad’ due to age, storage factors, etc.
I think the bottom line is that it will be up to each individual seller to decide if they want to take a chance on selling new, unused, but expired cosmetics. I would be sure to clearly label it as such in one’s listing. Good luck.

What exactly did you "google"? Is this something that is considered "retired" by MaryKay?
Makeup that is current, but stored improperly is also an issue and should be thrown out. Many women store their makeup in their bathroom, subject to heat/humidity from the shower. It typically creates issues for same, even though not expired.
I tend to not sell anything that I would not purchase/use myself. Ymmv. Good luck!
p.s. There are so many ways to aggravate a Buyer - and we know they do not read. If you are just re-starting your Selling career on e-Bay, why would you wish to chance having an unhappy buyer out of the chute? If you do and they file a claim, it could de-rail your newly started selling career here - why chance it??
