My area (north of Seattle) was about flattened with the first bomb cyclone and there's another on the way. Fortunately I'm not there (I'm in England), but have been trying to reach friends to see if they're OK. We usually have rough storms in November into December, but they're usually just floods and mud slides. Once we had an earthquake right in the middle of a nasty storm - kind of a two-fer.
