Good thing I’m not holding my breathe! I have tried 3 times over the past couple of weeks and ever time it says they will call me back in under a minute. The first time they called me back in 2 days. The second time was one day. The 3rd time never received a phone call back. Maybe when Christmas comes. Ya think with all the fees I pay I can get a phone call back. How about reducing your fees temporarily while COVID is going on since I am not getting the service that I pay for? Anybody else in?

I'm having the same problem. They originally said my wait was 13 minutes. It's been over 2 hours. Tried to resend request and they say I have one pending. It then gives me a 2 or 3 minute wait time. Still no call. Does anyone know what the problem is? Soooo frustrating!

Waited 10 hours yesterday, no call back! 2 hours so far today!

I think that's happened to pretty much everyone who's called in.

"I had to wait a long time at the DMV!"
Sorry about your situation but it's kind of the norm. It's a whole different world.

I requested a call back this Am and I was called within minutes. I accidentally got cut off and I called back and I was also called back soon. I did call at 8:00 AM my time which is 6:00 PT. I think it is best to call as early as possible. 😉 Sugar

Let's be Honest... Sometimes it is best not to make contact with an eBay rep. They usually make you want to jump off a cliff after speaking with them.

have requested a call back 4 times in the last week: 3 came within 1-2 minutes, the 4th maybe 10 minutes. each time was either first thing in the morning when they first start taking requests or within the last 30 minutes before phone support closes up for the night. seems like timing timing might be the key. if you don't need to actually talk, the Twitter support team has replied within a 12 hours the 4 or 5 times I contacted them (much better help than the email route, which just generates a series of generic replies). with the phone support, I guess I've just been lucky so far...

But .... but .... but .... but, did you go to the door, open it and listen? Did they SAY they would call you on the phone?

Just a general question, but why do people need to call Ebay so much? As a seller I've never had to call. Any issues I just work them out on my end or come to the forum where I can get the correct answers, not answers that a CS drone pulls off a checklist.
I can understand issues with an account, but anything else seems pointless.
Not knocking anyone, just legitimately curious.

I had never called them until last week when I had a unique request regarding shipping to an international buyer--wanted to see where it fell within eBay guidelines and make sure I was still protected...couldn't find anything on the site that addressed the buyer's request (the cs rep checked with 3 supervisors to make sure the answer was consistent). the other time I called was to get help with a refund that wasn't processing correctly--in part due to a mistake I made (that one took three calls to work out and get the return case closed). beyond those things, I agree that the forums are the way to go. and I admit I would probably be less likely to call those times if I had not received quick callbacks.

Its not unusual for it to say that and then have to wait 3+ hours for a call back. Only to get the worlds most inaccurate answers on any CS call, ever.
Apparently, this is eBay now.

I started a post about this last week and also commented above. Here is what worked for me.
I searched for "buyer fraud" on the eBay help system page and then clicked the call back button and in less than two minutes the phone rang. Stranger still, while I was talking to the CS rep, I got another call from eBay. No doubt from the previous 2 days that I requested a call back for a "billing issue".
It does make a difference what department you are looking to talk to, but if the rep can't help you, they will be able to transfer you to someone who can.
Good luck to all who are having this issue. Sometimes it's best to just walk away for a little bit. Enjoy the ride!

im getting the same issue today when i tried to contact them with the reason being account information. been an hour now with the "well call you within 2 minutes" and then a retry with them saying we are already going to call you within a minute and still no call. Now, earlier i had to call them about another issue and the reason i choose was a return issue and they called me within a minute! So i think its basically what ever department issue your having determines if they have enough people working during covid to call you back. So lets say ebay reps that handle return issues might be 100 people to handle the USA you'll get a call back but then lets say you choose your reason as "account information" they may only have 10 people for the USA on that day so getting a call back is slim. Thats just my theory as Ive gotten callbacks before without any issues. so i think its just who they have handling different departments of ebay right now. I understand its during a pandemic but if thier short staffed then we should be charged LESS ebay fees during this time.
