I have had so many lately with standard envelopes and nearly all are within 1 week of payment and most are saying the expected delivery has passed. Ebay needs to adjust the expected delivery on these shipments. West coast orders are taking usps 2 weeks to deliver. I am aware of the insurance claims but this is getting ridiculous. These scammers are getting away with this and ebay is making it easier. I clearly state how long standard envelopes can take on my listing descriptions and offer ground shipping as an option. Usps is hardly scanning these at the hubs making it even worse.

Also- I am shipping these as early as the same business day of purchase, and 1 business day at the latest to ensure the least exposure to any issues.

ESE is a high risk way to ship.
Ebay has offered insurance on these shipments because they know the service is flawed.
Some sellers do better than others because their items and packaging are less rigid.
If you choose to use it, you need to expect the results you get if you cannot improve your packaging.
There is nothing Ebay can do to improve the service, and little that USPS will do.

I have been using this for a very long time with great results until recently. I have been shipping the same way. I am aware of the risk and insurance as stated previously. Ebay should adjust expectations for the buyer and not give delivery estimates that are faster than ground shipping. It doesn't make any sense.

Is there a reason on using ESE on inexpensive items? Other than a 10 % discount on fees as a TRS.
I just use a stamp for inexpensive items...Had nothing lost last year or this year yet.
Buyers seem to be happy to get their items in 3-5 days cross country...and it does get me "repeat buyers".
You do get reimburse for items lost or whatever at some point...but do you get repeat buyers from that?
I have a some repeat buyers who buy something once a week from me.

USPS employees are becoming hostile to the rejected envelopes and the jams caused by ESE envelopes which do meet the requirements of the equipment. They let them sit around after they are rejected.
Some sellers on this forum have told of being required to pay a non-machineable fee for their ESE shipments, which negates the cost benefit of ESE. Some claim their customers have had to pay postage due.
I used it, had bad results, and no longer use it.

The reason for ESE is to provide a cheaper shipping option for buyers. I am shocked you have had little to no issues with stamps. Is it really faster to use stamps and why would that be? My local usps seems to put them in the same pile as stamped mail. Thanks for any input!

Using a stamp will not avoid the issues with machineability of the envelopes.
Seems to me that you stamp sellers have few of the problems which card sellers do with ESE, but I am not a stamp sellers so my information is second hand through this forum.
As for TRS status, some believe it helps their sales, others do not. But having it does not hurt one's sales.
