Ebay needs to stop using fraudulent carrier, OnTrac, obviously stealing my package

Ebay needs to stop using fraudulent carrier, OnTrac, who obviously steals my package to my buyer. After getting my shoe authenticated by the authenticity program and sent to this moronic carrier called onTrac, It's claimed "misrouted" (The package was routed to the wrong facility. We will re-route the shipment and adjust the expected delivery date) and they are trying to "reroute" to the right destination. Then after 7 days of no rerouting, they claimed my package is lost. Tell me how you found my package and lost it again?

The carrier also just pushed out the expected delivery time day-by-day without any updates or notification. So incompetent, and look at their Google Review, astonishing 1.4 stars and somebody else also mentioned the carrier stole their items.

Why is ebay using this no-name low-quality carrier for my $300+ shoes (limited version), what is going on?

They won't be using them long if they have to pay out too much..........but any carrier is going to lose some packages.......

I am ok with them using the carrier for low-value items ($4, $5 stuffs), but why ebay are choosing this trash service for delivering $300 shoes? This is the first time they sent this through onTrac and my package is lost on the first time with them. This is not normal.

I was also working for a company that contracts with all major carriers before, i know the exact shipment loss for all major carriers. But nothing like onTrac.

Also, my package was "misrouted" so they were "rerouting", which obviously they knew where my package is at, but now they claim they lost it. What a lie.

eBay has been using OnTrac (formerly Lasership) for years. There are a few carriers like that they use. They'll upgrade to FedEx on pricier items with sig required.

You're going to have a wide range of results with carriers like OnTrac. I've had both great and terrible experiences with them, same as any other carrier.

Online reviews are primarily going to be complaints and you're not going to hear about the countless uneventful shipments so take that for what it's worth.

Sorry to hear the experience was lousy. Ultimately eBay will cover the buyer on this, even though the preferred outcome is for the buyer to receive the item and not a refund.

Which carrier do you think is NOT capable of fraud or theft? USPS screwed me a few months ago by taking a package (that I left at the Walgreen FedEx counter for GroundEconomy) to the distribution center ~60 miles from the delivery address, then 1500 miles away, bouncing through a few trucks for a few days, then changing the status to "Insufficient postage - mailpiece will NOT be delivered" for a few months without telling me or eBay how much more they wanted to extort. So I had no choice but to refund the upset buyer (who blamed me in my only negative feedback). And that USPS status also prevented me from filing any kind of claim for loss with USPS. All I could do was a search request, which has never worked before, and I always get the same non-apology 6 months later. But then a few days ago, they delivered it like it was nothing. And because they took ~90 days to haul it over 3000 miles around the country, they won't let me even request a refund - much less make a loss claim since the buyer now has the money AND the item, because they only allow claims within 30 days of shipping.

So it's not just this one carrier, and it's not just no-name carriers.
