Ebay is telling my buyers of one item that I do not ship to their zip code, two buyers same listing.
The item number is 352467193274.
I cannot find anything wrong with the listing.
One customer is from Fla and one from Texas.

Eburtonlab
The items you mentioned all had "Calculated" shipping and "Flat Rate" as the service.
It certainly appears that it is this combination that is causing the problems.
Thanks

For what it's worth, I do not see that problem with the OP's listing; it looks entirely normal to me. As a result, I have no idea what to suggest investigating. I was going to suggest checking that the Ship From ZIP location was properly defined in the listing, since Calculated Shipping would not work without knowing where the package would originate, but that does not seem to be the problem here. I see Sheboygan Falls as the location, so if the correct ZIP for that is in place, I'm out of ideas.
See post 7. The problem was as I previously described and the OP has since fixed it, which would be why you don't see it.

Yes it does look like you have the exact same issue as the OP. You just need to go into the listing and put a fixed price for shipping. You are using calculated shipping and there must be something incorrect in your set up of the calculated shipping causing the issue.
As soon as you change it to a fixed price shipping or fix whatever problem you have with your calculated shipping set up, your problem should go away.
I see the issue on the below listing of yours.

Hi, I don't use ebay's listing tools so have no clue what the ebay tool(s) require when listing. In my listing program, and where I have indicated any type of USPS Flat Rate product, I put in the actual weight, check Package, check calculated (always), then what type of Flat Rate I am using...I have never had this problem. Granted haven't sold anything for a while like others here, but did do the 90210 test from my zip and the correct flat rate appears. So maybe I need to make a sale and see what happens. But for me putting in both calculated and the Flat Rate description has no effect.

That is what many of us call Stated Shipping.
Ebay has an option called Calculated shipping. You need to set up some information into the system before this function will accurately calculate the shipping costs to be charged to the customer depending on their zip code.
The OP normally uses Stated Shipping, but for some reason on a few of their listings they used Calculated Shipping and did not have it set up properly, which caused the problem they describe.
The OP knows this now, see post 7 and is fixing the issue. They are changing the affected listings to Stated shipping which will eliminate their issue as described in this thread.
Calculated Shipping can work just fine most of the time, but the seller has to have the perimeters set up correctly for it to function correctly.

From reading here and the Tech board, isn't the answer that ebay didn't handle the DIM changes on June 23? As in, ebay managed to mess up something in mailing labels.
Everyone just has to figure out how to work around the glitch(es). <---Now that's never happened before ...

I have never heard of "Stated Shipping". Just trying to give another example of how it works for me with no ebay problems so the OP doesn't have to got through extra hoops to change their "preferences." I think it is great the OP solved it, but to me it would be an extra step they would not have to do. JMO.

There are many names for it I'm sure. Fixed price shipping, stated shipping, etc. etc. All the same thing.
The OP doesn't have ANY problems with stated shipping or whatever you want to call it.
It is NOT "Extra Hoops" to set up calculated shipping. The program can't know what you want unless you tell it. It is just like setting up anything else in life. You need to give it your perimeters. People refer to "hoops" way too generically on this site. If you don't tell the program what your requirements are, size, shape, weight, handling fee if any, etc. I have no idea how you would expect it to calculate the shipping for you. Not a "hoop" but information needed to function appropriately.

NOPE. Not for this particular situation the OP came here about. Some are trying to make it more complicated than it is.
The OP simply selected calculated shipping on the listings he is having this problem with, but he never set up the perimeters for calculated shipping.
It was an accident, the OP typically does stated shipping. They just made an WHOOPs.
Ebay is NOT at fault. Ebay did NOTHING wrong. It was a simple mistake made by a human being. Nothing more.

"Stated Shipping" more commonly know as "Flat-Rate Shipping".
It would appear that the combo of Calculated with a Flat-Rate service is the issue here.

I made an assumption based on other posts in this thread :
- I've had my listing set up this way for years, but Ebay has changed something so this setup no longer works.
- I have the same issues. I have had four buyers this past week tell me the same thing. All from different states. I called Ebay and they said nothing wrong on their end and they said my listings looked fine. I have have had these listings set up for years and no problems. Something has changed on Ebay's end causing the error.
- Possibly related to this issue:
And also based on other posts I've read in more than a few places.

With respect, I think that you are making an assumption that this problem is a user error, not an ebay problem. Although in most cases, complaints about the calculator are user error, it's possible that isn't true in this case. I've seen a few different posts about this problem so I doubt that ALL of them entered the information incorrectly. It's entirely possible that when ebay made a change, they inadvertently made it so that flat rate services could only be used with flat rate shipping, not calculated shipping. I'm just assuming as well of course but it does seem more likely since there is more than one report of this problem.

Thanks for the reply, Slip. I think the confusion has to do with the generic "Flat rate" rates versus USPS Flat Rate Legal Size Envelope which is the USPS Flat Rate box or envelope. Which the OP stated early on...I have no problems indicating calculated shipping AND indicate it will be a Flat Rate Box, Envelope, or whatever the USPS offers related to the one price for the USPS Flats. Unless I have totally read this thread incorrectly.

I'm curious if the problem really is what I suspect it is. Do you have a current listing using a flat rate shipping box that is set up as calculated shipping rather than a flat rate price? Item 312659228093 seems to be working properly when I enter US address but did you enter the rate or is it set up to be calculated?
Also...I'm curious.....if a flat rate box is the only shipping option that you have in your listing, do you have to fill out the dimensions when you specify calculated shipping? I don't use USPS so I really have no idea.
06-29-2019 01:55 PM
Hi, I don't do anything as to entering anything other than: Calculated, Package, Put in the Weight (no dimensions), indicate it is a Flat Rate Box/padded envelope/cardboard envelope either regular or legal. Have never had a problem. And from what I am reading re: the DIM (nobody'sperfect is an expert at this and I may have her ID wrong lolol), I believe any Priority Mail box whether regular PM or a Flat Rate PM (one price to anywhere)...meets the DIM cubic regs unless you modify them... I do have situations where I have to double box the regular PMs in order to gain maybe 1" in height. Hope am explaining this clearly. Bottom line: I do nothing but the above.
