Yep, I hear you. eBay created this short-sighted and needless feature, thinking it would provide additional opportunities to increase revenue. However, as a long-time collectibles seller, I can tell you that, along with PL, it has negatively impacted overall values, driving down prices as sellers compete for sales and visibility.
Yes, it may add a few more sales. However, these are sales that would have most likely been made at higher values before SIO & PL. Unfortunately, today's eBay is driven by quantity, not quality.
But that's just my opinion.
