Ebay has obfuscated ALL orders from prior to May 27th?? How am I supposed to do my taxes properly?

This is unacceptable. I have sold things at least as early as 5/3/2021, yet ebay has removed ALL data on ALL of the transactions prior to 5/27/2021. How am I supposed to do my taxes? How am I supposed to even know anything?

Go to Seller Hub, Payments, Reports and click on Statements.  I suggest you download the full statement as it breaks down the specifics of your sales.

If you need the data about how much state tax eBay collected on your sales, you need to go to Seller Hub, Payments, Reports and create a report for the time period you need.  I create and download one every month for that month.  My normal statements run from the 16th to the 15th so I make one that goes from the beginning to the end of the month.

There is also another option.  When September comes, go to your orders page.  At the top of the page, hit the down arrow on "Last 90 days" and pick "Last month."  You can then download all your sales data for August.  This orders report includes the state tax eBay collected.

Well, I broke down and think I've found what you are looking for on this page

Note in tabs at the top......you can change the date wanted......I used 12/1/2020...... I did have to hit "refresh" on the right to get it to give me the download option........

Amazing. I was excited that this may be what I was looking for as the "Reports" tab above would not even allow me to go beyond May 27th. However, when I generated the report, it does not show any transactions prior to may 27th regardless, despite setting the date range to Jan 1 2021.

Were you with Managed Payments prior to May 27, 2021?

No, this is the date that ebay forced the transition. I dont know how to see any of my sales, orders, fees, shipping labels bought through ebay, etc

I checked and mine show prior to Dec...........you have to scroll down.  If you aren't getting that.......I agree with Shado.......you probably weren't in MP..........go check paypal and see what reports they have........

You should be able to find copies of your eBay invoices prior to May 27th on Seller Hub, Payments, Reports, Invoices.  I don't know if the eBay collected state tax is in those though.

@lightningden  Ah - no wonder.  You'll need to log into your Paypal account to download the dates prior to induction into managed payments. I had to do that for my 2020 taxes as I went into MP in July 2020 - I had half from managed payment downloads and half from Paypal. Paypal data was not carried over into managed payments.

Before I was in Managed Payments, my money was received through PayPal and my shipping labels were purchased through PayPal.

So prior to being in Managed Payments, I went to PayPal for that information.

So prior to being in Managed Payments, I went to PayPal for that information.

I just checked, and another thing you can do it go to Payments > Reports > Invoices, and download each invoice as a CSV. 

Not an ideal solution, but it might get you the data you want.
