Ebay has messed with Feedback "fixing" what was not broken.....

I am a seller with over 5000 positive feedbacks and Top Seller rating. I learned long ago buyers rarely leave feedback. I have also had buyers create huge problems after leaving them positive feedback. So now, to be sure a buyer is happy with purchase, I leave feedback when positive feedback is left. Today I see eBay has completely revamped the feedback page. It autofills an inane comment a buyer might have left for a seller. My prior autofills have disappeared. So I type each feedback seperately. Then, when I am done eBay asks if I want to report the seller? Notwithstanding me being the Seller, are they really prompting all buyers who leave positive feedback to report the seller? This is insane. We have enough problems with eBay without them suggesting buyers should report us. They are NOT asking if we want to report buyer. And it is not enough that there is nothing to report, I have had many buyers, prompted and coached by ebay, to make stuff up in opening a return for a no returns item. What are eBay and buyers going to do if there are no sellers left with stuff to sell?

@allen1853

Several of us had try to leave feedback and could not.  It stated that I'd already left the feedback, even though it's still showing to leave feedback on my page.  This is just another  "Ebay improvement" that is in turn an inconvenience to the seller.  It's a joke. More glitches every day which hinders not only the seller, but the buyer as well.  What next??...

Same here,  When I try to leave feed back I find the comments already filled, not by me, and I'm unable to delete it and fill it in. To the "what's next" question above the answer is Amazon.

    Ebay has consistently performed at "below standard" for some time now.   Maybe we sellers should penalize them with a 5% reduction in fees like they add to sellers that fall below the standard lol

    I say that in jest but realistically its true- fees have gone up and service and sales down... its ebays own little world of self created inflation.

On the feedback question...........if you leave feedback via Seller Hub, the form seems to be unchanged......and it is still holding my various feedback comments.........   just for information.......

On my seller accounts, feedback is left automatically when they pay. I don't see withholding feedback to buyers as any type of advantage since they can't get a neg.  Everybody receives the same. Regimented has its advantages.

You could have a buyer that thinks they could get a neg because they don't known the rules.

My feedback received is at about 10% these days on eBay and at less than 1% on Amazon.

I of course don't do any type of begging for feedback.

     I just left 5 star positive feedback for ebay shipping supplies order..... and it prompted me to resolve an issue with a huge blue button on the follow-up screen....... so i did lol.   It sends you to the messaging system for the seller assuming you had an issue....I messaged them that everything was fine but the new ebay feedback system prompted me to pursue this path after i left good feedback......... it will be interesting to see if i get a response.

      Realistically they probably received feedback from buyers complaining about not knowing how to report a problem easily so they just slapped that button on there without understanding the consequences.   The button should only show up if you leave neg feedback.     Never assume or coach a buyer to think there was a problem......kids these days dont have a lick of sense when they come up with these ideas.
