Ebay funds on hold, account restriction

I have a question. Is ebay allowed to hold $11,690 if my account is restricted and under review? I have 100% feed back, all the items ive sold the past week have been delivered with signature from the customers and tracking confirms it aswell. I got a MC011 and have read forums about the likeliness of my account being reinstated and it most likely will not.

I pretty much want to know if my account doesn't get reinstated, will they at least still send me my money? They should not be able to legally keep $12,000 of mine if my items clearly show they have been delivered to customers.

Yes they can hold your money, you agreed to this when you accepted their TOS. Could they hold it forever, maybe. There are laws that do not allow the release of funds if fraud was involved. You might want to consult an attorney for guidance.

If there is fraud suspected, you may not get it back. And if that level of fraud is confirmed to be true, you have much bigger problems to worry about than your money.

That's sort of a nebulous question if you ask me.  What were you selling in the first place that got you under the microscope?

Sorry to hear of your plight. Looks like you had a pretty lucrative selling career here. Some high priced things, nice variety of items. 

Did you take your own pictures of the AMZ Ryzen 9 Desktop Processor (224311058277)? Because I see the same photos used in another seller's sold listings of the same thing (363178213359 and 363189460041). Or do you have more than one account? Why is the serial number blacked out?

Not always true. I just listed my google pixel 5a. Sold it for 305 and right after the purchase was made and I created a shipping label eBay restricted my account. All the photos were mine and the buyer was on board. Now I cannot communicate with the buyer and I’m not shipping the phone until eBay un restricts me. It’s not fair to me or the buyer. He’s not getting the item on time and I wouldn’t be able to take my money out if I did ship it

That’s funny now that we see you were selling ps5’s.  Although not completely saturated selling it for those prices I still don’t have any sympathy for you.  You must have done something to obtain them in quantity because not a lot of people can get those of course.  But then selling them for a couple hundred more, like I guess most people are doing, may have gotten the attention.  But with all that money you must’ve made and have to invest I’m sure you can afford a good attorney to read the TOS you agreed to at the beginning of your account that pretty much explains your screwed.  Hard lesson learned, probably, will you get your money back?  Well only time will tell.  I would actually hope eBay refunds the difference between the srp and the inflated price back to those customers.

It's simple. MONEY. A tiny bit of interest in the money markets over the course of the "on hold" period make eBay MONEY. They collect off YOU, while even after getting payments forever without issue, suddenly the quarterly numbers look off, and they need to generate cash. It's a scam, there is no reason for it, aside from making eBay LOTS OF MONEY.
