Ebay coders just roll back the changes to seller hub for crying out loud

By now there has had to have been enough complaints about the new "streamlined" seller hub to warrant rolling back the changes. Surely you guys kept a copy of the old version right? You don't have to admit that the changes are horrible, ill conceived, and a DISRUPTIVE to every professional seller. I understand you want to make it easy for cell phone users to make listings. Sure more people make listings on their cell phones than on laptops of desktops. Have you ever looked at the total dollar value of listings sold that were made on a desktop verses a cell phone? Probably not, if you had you would stop this silly lets make it easy for anyone to make a listing and concentrate on reducing the time it takes sellers that actually generate income for ebay to do what they do. Everybody makes mistakes, we are all human. Save face and roll the changes back now, it's real simple.

eBay shortcomings are almost too numerous to mention, but I suspect that eBay does in fact monitor sales on phone vs. desktop quite closely.

I find the iPhone eBay app to be very impressive, and quite amenable to creating and modifying listings.

As for seller hub, I do not spend all that much time there, but I have seen the changes and they are mostly a PITA.

What are your objections specifically?

eBay seller since 1999. This is a posting ID.

Sales made on cell phones verses sales made on desktops is not the issue.

Listings sold that were created on cellphones verses desktops is the issue. Ebay has made it easy and simple to create listings on cellphones while making it very time consuming to do the same on a desktop. And the administration of listings on a desktop has become a total nightmare since they rolled out the new seller hub.

I guess ebay's coders get weekends off no matter how many major site bugs there are.

Wait, did you think the Community forum is where you could reach eBay's coders?

EDIT: Also did you think eBay's coders have the authority to decide what they code?

Nope but they have the authority to fix what they broke, maybe if you read all the posts about this you would realize all the coding errors and bugs and this would answer your questions

How long does it take you to do a listing?

Your descriptions are all the same and doesn't take long to upload a couple photos and fill in some IS.

Have a great day.

There are no errors or bugs.  The coders didn't "break" anything.  They coded changes that were intentional.  They followed orders by bosses who don't know enough about selling to realize the changes were stupid.

If you had been reading posts for many years here you would know this is a pretty typical occurrence on eBay.

Re: Ebay coders just roll back the changes to seller hub for crying out loud

Its terrible, now I cant even see all my own store categories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a disaster, if you're only selling on your phone I dont know what that looks like, but the desktop site is idiotic with these changes.

I dont care whether its the coding team selling team, tech team, whoever...

For someone in SALES to not even be able to access their own categories in the items they SELL is just outright ridiculous

Yes it is a mess. the people defending ebay and making excuses for them are hobby sellers that list a few items a week from their cell phones. That's all fine and nothing wrong with this. People who do this for a living mostly use a desktop and spend considerable time daily making listings and running their stores. There are many bugs and errors with this new layout, but there is no sense in arguing with people who just want to argue because they have nothing else to do and love drama. Some people thrive on trying to make other people look stupid. I pity them.

Who is "defending eBay"?  🤣
Also one doesn't need to try very hard to make someone look stupid when they write a Community post thinking it's like writing a letter to the site's coders, and the fact that the listing tool is still the same hours later is because it's the weekend, so the coders didn't know that some seller issued them a command.

I didnt accuse you of defending ebay but the shoe must fit, eh? I will not respond to you again, so go ahead and post away and try to make me look as stupid as you want. It says a lot about your character. When I was a kid I would put others down because I thought it made me look better and smarter than them. Hopefully you will lose this bad habit soon.

I found a sort of work around to get to your listings in nested categories. Go to your store categories page and click on the number of active listings in that category. You cannot sort by buying format there but at least you can access them and edit them if you need to
