Ebay don't seem to be taking into account the regional differences in Royal Mail's opening hours over the Christmas & New Year period (and perhaps even the rest of the year). I live in Scotland & sold some things at the weekend with a "dispatch within 2 working days" promise. Ordinarily i would fulfil that agreement but i can't because PO's where i am are closed until the 5th of January. I don't know about Wales & Northern Ireland but Ebay seem to be using England's schedule (re-opening on the 4th) as their guide.
If i'd known this i could obviously have extended the dispatch time but i didn't expect any issues. Anyway, i now have 5 items marked as "late for dispatch" through no fault of my own. I suppose such things count as defects on my account so it's just as well i wasn't preparing to post many items. I'd urge anyone in the same boat to let Ebay know about this oversight that may lead to unfair repercussions, both now & in the future.

Probably best to post this on your home boards, unlikely many posters here have knowledge regarding eBay or postal service in Scotland.
Happy New Year

According to this user's 'sold' listings you haven't sold anything since November 13th of 2021. You must be posting about another account?

And did you know that in USPS we drive on the wrong side of the road? but our USPS postal carriers have the steering wheels on the right side except for those carriers that use their own vehicle to deliver mail. But our UPS and Fed Ex drivers have vehicle withe the steering wheels on the left side. We are so screwed up here.

They did the same with Canada. 2 day shipping turned into 1 day because they did not allow for Jan. 3 to be a holiday since Jan. 1 fell on a Sat. Jan. 5 should be my deadline for weekend sales, not the 4th.

Maybe we should be looking ahead and extend our handling time a bit?
